  • Guehi

Seeing some stories saying that Guehi is considering not moving at all this summer, unless a deal comes in that?s completely to his liking.

That is Guehi, who starts the final season of his contract next season.

I cannot wait to hear the comments from Parish if Guehi starts next season for Palace and has not signed a new contract 🤣

I think he?ll move - just mind games. I hope we don?t go for him as I don?t think he?s worth the money - you don?t see 60 million pound plus defenders getting skinned like he does nor with his aerial ability.
I hope I?m wrong though, I?d love to see him walk out the door and Parish get nothing (especially to one of the clubs he grovels after like Liverpool).

Its probable these recent rumors are being put out by Guehi?s team to force Parish to lower the asking price.

Sick of hearing his Name TBH.

We need to move on to another option once and for all.

Aye, it would be very satisfying to see Parrish watch his 10s of millions slip away and not being able to do anything about it.

I guess Eddie has identified something in Guehi's game that suits our style but wouldn't be bothered if he didn't come here.

A mate of Gundeep https://www.gundeep.co.uk/ is close to a bunch of Palace players. He basically became the PR man for Kego the released Palace wonderkid who's now playing for Maradona's son in Spain.

Gunni is the owner of 'The Last Stand' streetball tournament. He's a truly great bloke.

Anyway he was telling me that Guehi has been approached by Barcelona reps to talk about the potential for joining on a free next season.

So the lad is clam. He's in no rush to move. Last season he was keen to join Newcastle United but Paris played the power game and now he's gonna lose out on a transfer fee as Marc knows he's free to leave next season. He and his agent will both earn massive signing bonuses and he could well end up playing for a club.

I will laugh if he does stay and end up and Barca for free.

I'd heard about Barca as well - just assumed it was crap though, interesting there mabe something in it.

I would also laugh my arse off if Parish got nothing for him.

Well he's obviously not really suited to be a Toon player from the above information. We need people who want to sign up to the journey and play for the vision. The money aspect unfortunately turns a lot of these payers heads, not unnaturally but it actually makes some of them a worse player in the long run as they chase money rather than the game. Not all but a few.

And I do not want to lose Barnes in a swop for Elanga. Cannot see the sense in that. Barnes was coming on strong last season.

Good player but id rather not give parish a penny and shop elsewhere instead.

New price apparently After the talks collapsed - with Palace accused of "moving the goalposts" on the deal - Palace missed out on a 70m quid deal. But that price has been dramatically dropped by those close to the deal, and the fee could now be as little as 30m quid.

At that price it makes sense. However, if the lad has his eyes on Barcelona then I'd look else where as he'll think he's better than the club. Not interested in that sort of mentality.

                      Let's see what shakes out

?30 million makes more sense, also adds alot more credence to the Barca rumours.

Parish clearly beginning to panic that he'll get nothing

With all the talk of cultured Italian centre backs my lukewarm interest in the Palace chancer is further dampened.

Nothing wrong with Guehi, I just don't get the feeling that he really has any interest in joining Newcastle United. Whilst I don't blame him for last season, clearly that was all down to the Pr!ck Parish (yes it would be sweet to see Guehi leave for free and that rat get absolutely zero for him) moving the goal posts time and again, Marc didn't really seem to be very enthused by the idea of coming to Newcastle.

Whether that was down to professionalism and respect for his club or, which felt more likely, he just wasn't that motivated to be part of this project.

If he does join, of course I'll give the lad my full support but Scalvini is a more interesting target but Matteo Gabbia would be a total game changer!
