  • Goals

We really need to come up with a system where we are getting goals from arounf the pitch Bruno, Joelinton, Tonali , Barnes should be scoring more goals. We are going no where if we are relying on a striker no matter who it is uo top to score our goals I know that?s easier said than done but it needs to change.

We used to have that but it disappeared so far this season.

Woltemade is the type of player who will bring other attackers/midfielders into goal scoring positions. We just need to give him (and Eddie) some time. Hes just got here.

I think Woltermade and our lack of goals are two separate things.

In terms of our lanky German, I'm with TT-once we work out how to use him, I think he's going to be fantastic.

Lack of goals-wise, we are looking a bit one-dimensional at the minute. Barnes' form has dropped off a cliff but I'd back Eddie to help him get his mojo back. And with Gordon and Elanga on the wings, we'll see a different side, I think.

Yeah man! Absolutely correct Mr Phonatronic.

The Goal v Barcelona is a great example of how we can get goals. The slick one touch passing, Nick dropping deep and players running in behind is a strategy.

          In the Bournemouth game.

Had Wissa been along side Woltemade and stretching the play giving Tino, Lewis, Lewis & Sandro someone else to hit when Nick drops deep.

The one time Murphy got a ball in behind his nature as a winger to stay wide nullified his chance of scoring. Natural CFs cut across the defender to take the middle ground.

That moment and the clear penalty not given were the difference between the draw and win for the Toon.

Clearly the VAR didn't give the shirt pull is yet more evidence for the future law suit against the PGMOL when the fans groups of all clubs outside of the cartel unite to say enough is enough.

Woltemade will bring others in to play however, he still banged in 17 goals last season in Germany. It'll come good without doubt.

He was a target in June, the club were told he was off to Bayern. Had he joined and had a full pre-season the team would play more smoothly right now. Same with the like of Thiaw, Wissa & Ramsey. All of whom will come good.

Hall's return to fitness is another boost. Had he been fit from the start of Pre-Season again the team would be far more aggressive and threatening.

Developing as a cohesive winning team during the throws of a competitive season is never ideal but it's certainly exciting... Well... part from the occasional miserable performance as the lads gel and the get it right.

After 5 games in the last 2 seasons we've had 6 points. This season we have far more squad depth and things are far more optimistic without the toxic negativity hanging over the club, the fans, the squad and the management.

Wissa is key to the succes of Woltemade and vice versa. The job of scoring goals can't be done by one striker alone.

                  I'm chilled about it.

Clean sheets are back so we are halfway there.

The goals, well we know who we lost and the upheaval that followed. The 2 newbies have just arrived and Wissa has proven it in the PL FFS, he hasn't played a minute yet and NW has shown glimpses and ability, oh and he has already scored.

Theres goals waiting from Elanga, Murph, Gordon, Bruno, Tonali, Barnes, Joe, Ramsey and we know they have it in the locker. Its early days, its a marathon not a sprint. We also have goal threat at the back and Botmans like a new signing.

We also have a secret weapon. EH.

                    likewise Sclox.

                    Don't score don't win. Don't concede don't lose.

I get the grumbles, it' ain't a pretty watch right now. However, it's pleasing for me to see the team 'win dirty' as much as a love the swashbuckling dismantling of teams.

The Rafa years were anything but exciting, however, with a steaming pile of S.H.1.T. of a squad the watching the man's tactical mind as he crafted a masterplan using 11 human Subbuteo figures was fascinating.

Eddie, I hold in the same high regard. Clearly the summer's slow business means that the squad are not as fluid or gelled as they should have.

Clearly the manager realises the situation & has set us up not to lose. Grind out the games, pick up points on the road until it comes good is what it's all about right now.

Stay in touch with the top 4 - 5 is the name of the game right now.

                    We're on 6points, 4 points behind Arsenal in 2nd.

The squad rotated, 7 in total, took a point away from home against a very competitive team in Bournemouth.

2 seasons ago the same 11 played 12 games in a row without subs.

In terms of progress as a club, that is massive. Quite remarkable in fact when we consider Ramsey & Wissa, 100m quid's worth of talent, brought in this summer, are currently unavailable.

All the negativity and noise, the shocking hatred that has been spewed at young Miley, as a perfect example, tells me two things.

                    1. Like the 28,000 who signed the BS petition to block the stadium. Are you tell me that there are 28,000 Geordies that hate the club? Get real! It tells me that the petition was started by a Mackem and signed by all the cartel club fans to block out expansion. Online, the same people dwell, in their thousands, ready to jump on the band wagon and pile on the hatred.

                    2. Some of the fans are just hate filled miserable human beings. Never happy, completely delusional. The negativity around losing 1-2 to Barcelona and the insane comments are completely unhinged.

You can't teach stupid though so it's best not to dwell on those horrible people and their terrible hate filled vitriol.

We are 4 points of 2nd, not playing well, when it comes good we'll be right up there causing the cartel et al a hell of a lot of problems.!

                    HOWAY THE LADS!

I hope the club continue to steer the clear course they have up to now ignoring the Mackems in disguise, kneejerk panic merchants typing bollox in their pisss stained underwear spewing bad advice from a starting position of zero personal life acheivements and above all ignore the partisan media.

You what I mean and know what I am getting at?

Look where we are now and as far as I can see everything is still on course or even ahead of schedule or at worst just needing a few tweaks here and there.

All kool and the gang in my eyes and the club is still blowing it out of the water. 100% trust the process.

Absolutely. I was very worried late on in the transfer window, what with the Isak fiasco and missing so many of our earlier targets.
But, we've now got the best squad we've had for ages. We've brought in some really hot players, but very late in the window so we must expect it'll take a while for things to gel. And the injury to Wissa was a huge blow, esp at the start of the season when the fixture list is more congested. It is putting a lot of pressure on Woltemade to perform without proper time to settle in. I'm sure that Six Six Nick will be a real asset for us, but it must take a while to work out how to get the best out of him and the midfield. I'm sure plenty of goals will come, even more when Wissa is back.

Its so good that our defensive record so far is great. We're in the top 4 premiership teams re fewest goals conceded. Can't be bad, considering we've played Liverpool andan in-form Bournemoth away. Keep it up, and start scoring more and we'll soon be climbing up the table. I'm really confident its going to happen fairly soon!
