At the risk of pissing people off, I just thought I'd mention he becomes a free agent on Tuesday...

😁 Well, I was chatting to Pete Graves last week and he reckons this week...

I can see it happening - Eddie seems to like him.

He fits criteria as well, apart from injury record.

I do not want him though. I think he'll sit in injury room to much.

I'd rather the club sign me and set ?100,000 a weeek on fire in Leazes park.

The geezer is not a Premier League Player. The signing bonus and wages will be an insult to every single player in the squad.

I do think that striker position will be a difficult one for us to fill. Whoever comes in knows they will not be first choice, they will be covering injury or rests for Isak.

We do not pay high enough wages yet for a decent striker to come in and let their career rot basically, which is why unfortunately we might be looking at a washed up has never been

Yeah absolutely, it's gonna be tough.

That's why a hybrid like Joao Pedro makes sense.

Interestingly enough I see the Jonathan David is still a free agent. All the talk of joining Napoli has gone silent.

Napoli are also linked with that joke Nunes from Liverpool and a bunch of other strikers. So Not sure what's happening there.

Just a point that there are far better free agents out there that if they want a real challenge and rate themselves at top level strikers should want to challenge the like of Isak for the starting birth at Newcastle United. Plus the No.9 shirt is up for grabs... Biased as I am I'd be al over that.

Surely we could do better for a 2nd or third string forward? I mean a quick look around sees a player like Anastasios Douvikas, 25, with potential, stays fairly i nury free, cheap - around 5-10 mill, a Greek international, plays in Serie A, would see us a step up.

Even this guy gotta be a better shout that DCL? Surely?

...Pedro looks to be Chelsea bound. Fk that. Happy to sit in the bench with his Brighton mates.

Agreed, Sclox - we have to be able to do better than DCL.

Even with his one advantage of prem experience.

Aye, surely we've fot our sights set higher than him.

That being said, if we could keep him fit, Eddie would get the best out of him.
