  • The 8 second rule

    Genuine question-have they scrapped it?

I only ask because the Man U 'keeper just held the ball for 12 seconds. Or does it not apply to them?

Football isn't a sport which 'rules apply equally', that would be a genuine meritocracy.

The rules are suggestions which are open to interpretation for the match day officials.

From Gabriel punching Nick in the head off the ball after he scored to the blatant Brighton Handball VAR turned away yesterday via the Gravenberch scissor tackle on Bruno are are case studies from this season of the levels of irregularity just us, one club has faced.

The new 'no holding in the box' rule has been clearly binned when we're on the field. Against Brighton their defence were manhandling our lads like Pulis' Stoke. Absolute joke!

The Refs will give whatever they want, depending on which club's bag of cash has landed at their door step.

8 seconds is ridiculous. Goal keepers should encouraged to move the ball quickly but after a corner or set piece when 10 outfield players are in the box expecting the ball to be released in 8 seconds is a clear disadvantage to the team with ball-in-hand.

Like the fouled/injured player having to leave the field of play. The team who have be disadvantaged due to dangerous play or cheating from the opposition are then reduced to 10 men for a short time.

IFAB are a bunch of C***s

Thankfully they beat Liverpool. Isak zero goals in the league so far.

Small comfort and a bit of bitterness there, I know, but still

"I heard that Alexander Isak has threatened to go on strike at Liverpool unless they sign Jacob Murphy in January."

The rule is only scrapped for certain teams Zip.

As we've all said before, they aren't even subtle about it anymore.

Surprisingly enough the rule was applied in injury time against Brentford when Liverpool were chasing a goal.

                  Fancy that!

Thought the 8-second rule meant something else...

Just exactly what I thought, I'll keep to myself.

                    Happy Monday to everyone!
