    Nice bit of news today

    Aye, great news.

Been suggested that it's linked to the way we supported him during his ban.

Now I know it's easy for us to say, but we acted with a lot of class back then and I think this is a reward for our conduct. As a fan, I was very proud of how we handled the whole situation.

Absolutely agree with this - not all clubs/fans would have been as forgiving, but it was worth it completely.

I also think to Sandro's credit, especially now with this new contract, that he is returning the trust and patience of the fans. I get the impression that he actually wants to be here and has developed a love for the club, which was hard(er) to spot when he had just signed, and looked like somebody who had been forced to be there. And then the whole gambling thing happened on top...

I think this is a bit of spin to make it look like he?s just after committing long term to the club. He signed this during his ban, knowone really knew how important or how good he was going to be. In reality he only give us an extra year for the year we lost because he was banned and an option for another year is that an option for us to keep him or an option for him to stay?

It?s great that he?s contracted until 2029 all the same.

2029 with an option for an extra year to 2030.

However, there will be another contract offer to increase his wages in the next 6-18months no doubt. Well deserved pay bump.

More silverware this season would expedite that process no doubt.

Going deep in the Champions League this season and requalification for next years competition will precipitate pay rises for the core of the squad.

Translating the Champions League form to the Premier League is the most pressing challenge for the squad and coaches.

Fulham took 6 points off NUFC last season so that wrong need to be righted starting tomorrow & will also boost the flagging points total thus far this season.

Tonali on the bench again today, Barnes deserved to start after tuesday but we get Murphy again instead

              And Murphy justified it

Really pleased to see Tonali sign this and I agree with Zip, I think the way we handled his ban has had a massive postive impact on him as well.

And he missed a sitter with that one on one as well, he needs to be an impact sub Elanga and Barnes are both much better overall players

Scored the harder more instinctive shot and bottled the easier one-on-one shot where he had to think... Typical Murphy. Love the lad but that shows exactly sort of player he is.

The elite level wingers/strikers put the opponent to the sword and doubles the lead there. Take it round the keeper, give him the eyes, or audaciously Lob the keeper even.

The first half goal mouth scramble in which Nick hit the post, could have gone anywhere. Would have made the the game a lot easier.
Elanga had a powerful shot blocked.
Bruno's header before his goal was unlucky but he should have done much better there.

At least in this match the lads had shots on goal and looked a threat through out. Peaks and troughs.

From the stats and on the eye, it wasn't a game that we don't control.

The passing was sloppy and the decision making at times was pretty confusing.

Burn along with another's played some passes directly to opposition players in dangerous positions. Fortune favoured the lads today, a better team or a more accuracy from Fulham coud have seen the result go the other way.

No doubt Eddie will be highlighting this in the analysis when they sit down on Monday.

Sorry, but Elanga has looked like a Championship player so far this season.

Murphy starts ahead of him easily, currently.

I'd like to Barnes on the right with Gordon on the left one day. Reckon Tonali and Bruno could make them two some passes that could send them past most defenders in the league.

I thought our defence (strangely) looked more solid when Botman was replaced by Schar, but then I realised that Tonali had also come on so it could well have been that.

Tonali controlled the game from start to finish, when Bruno came on the game was over. The two of them snatch the last gaps of attacking life out of the abject Spuds frauds.

Spuds did everything they could against our much rotated team and barely laid a glove on Newcastle United.

There is always ebb and flow in a match, however, the game was always under control. At no point did it feel like Spuds were on top.

Elanga showed signs of improvement, the lad just needs a goal to spark him into life.

Barnes should have had 2 and Willock's header early in the 2nd, dunno if he was trying to play it down for Nick or going for goal. Guess he got caught in two minds. Willock's break from the Woltemade through ball showed his lack of sharpness and match confidence. He could have had a couple too.

Ramsdale some great saves and his distribution is levels and levels above Pope.

Promising solid win against a the poor relative of the fraud 6. Spuds hadn't lost on the road this season, they looked poor Spurs. Once again all the hype they'll bottle it as usual. Nothing to worry about, nothing to see here. Just Spurs Choking as usual.

Most pleasing bit is that we're seeing genuine rotation in the squad and a consistency of performance, quality and the squad, as a whole are getting the winning results. Win matches, win ugly it all counts!
