I'm nowhere near clever enough to address all your points individually, but after seeing the damage a big majority can inflict through our outdated two party system, for the first time in my life I see a proper coalition government as the best way forward. By that I mean pick the best talent from all parties (I believe it's there somewhere), and let them govern by putting the needs of the country above party politics.

I am a realist, so I accept there is more chance of Forest winning the Premier League than this happening.
I think for once we are in some agreement on all counts

Agreed. Let's face it, we are in a time of crisis, a ''unity/coalition gov'' shouldn't be out of the question. 2 things tho, I'm not sure the Tories will go for it and I'm not sure the Labour Party would want to get involved. Not if they have any sense they wouldn't.

I’m not convinced any of the parties have the ability to stop the current carnage that is snowballing with every second that passes.
This is the worst state that UK politics has ever been in. All the main parties have a weak leader. I can’t think of a single politician that I would want to run the country and navigate us through tough times.
All of a sudden the BoJo era seems a political high from the last few years.

If I was going to pick an outcome as my original feeling was Boris might come back, I’m thinking now it’s looking highly likely.
Cummings said 3 months ago that Boris was already believing he would be back, seemed a ludicrous statement at the time, not so much now. I think it’s their only option of winning the next GE.

Agree with this, it's time they stopped with the childish they did this and we did that. On politics live yesterday, one was going back to the early 1900s. Watching PMQs is pointless, they just say you did this and we did that with them all cheering in the background. Get together and sort the country out the best they can.

In response to OP, I don't know how to solve all the issues listed but that's why we vote in politicians who alot of the time have studied politics or worked in power or opposition for years and therefore should have a good idea. If not what are they doing in that job. We could probably make a good fist at some of them and some we'd have to bite the bullet as some things are what they are. That's a vast difference to what we have got in power at the moment, it's an absolute mess. Ministers have said the scenes last night on the fracking vote were like nothing they'd seen. We've got a puppet PM when we all know Hunt and Shapps will be calling the shots. It's not picking low hanging fruit, it's been absolutely appalled at our ruling party and the knock on effect this has on our lives.

Can't see it myself. Don't forget that he went because the majority of his MPs said they no longer had any faith in him regarding integrity and honesty. They can't simply pretend that didn't happen.

Tory MPs are actually very good at pretending things didn't happen

Now she's toast matt, Boris is 11/1 to replace her:

                        • Sunak has gone from 13/8 to 4/9 since she quit.

Looks likely he'll be next in Number 10.

                            Good riddance
She should leave politics altogether actually. Her credibility has been completely shredded

Yeah it's his for the taking, they're saying he just needs to say he wants it. Will he though with such a mess and a chance of losing the next GE. It's time we had an election.

                              • Sunak, who didn't undrstand the basics of supply and demand when he gave a stamp duty holiday which pushed up house prices even more. Sunak, who held (maybe still holds) an American green card. Sunak who masterminded the eat out to help out the virus. Sunak, who's wife did not pay tax in this country. Sunak who advocated moving funds from poor areas to wealthy Tory areas. Sunak, who invited vaccine sceptics into Downing Street to address cabinet. We live, supposedly, in a democracy. No new PM has a mandate and there needs to be a general election so the people can decide. There won't be, because the Tories put party survival ahead of the needs of the country.
