I agree it will be an issue, but I hope it doesn't get in the way. If he does a good job and gets us through the next couple of years then it doesn't matter if he is the richest or poorest man in the country to me.Originally posted by sidders View PostI concur with all you have said here, Elite. No way would Risky Sunhat have got the Premiership if it had gone to a vote of members. Bozo would be reinstalled because the stupid planks (and County Grump) think Bozo's rejection was all about eating cake instead of the removal of a serial liar who even deceived the Queen.
Risky is their best bet because he's a smart operator and from all accounts takes note of the detail - that which Bozo never did. Having said that he's going to prescribe some terrible cuts, especially local government because that makes it look like HM government is not as blameworthy.
His immense wealth is his achilles heel. Whilst he heats up a swimming pool within his gardens, the community pool within his constituency cannot afford the heating so thousands of people are denied swimming. He is said to be richer than the king and whilst that's not a crime, it doesn't sit well with the man responsible for determining cuts, cuts and more cuts. Like Truss, he's all for trimming the size of the state.
I guess that many of the MP's of all parties are pretty well-off. Those who have worked with Sunak seem to speak very highly of him regarding his work ethics etc. I hope he will be judged on his time in office, not his bank balance.

So 'the leadership' at the time of the original post on this topic has a few questions to answer tomorrow, but unfortunately it's not in a court of law. If it was, it could give us an answer as to whether god exists. If Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson had to state in court "I, Boris Johnson, do solemnly declare that what is in my dossier shall be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God", he would instantly be struck down by a massive bolt of lightning if god is up there somewhere.
It won't happen, so it begs the question does god exist or does Boris Johnson tell the truth?
I know what my money would be on.

Very good question - “can I call a friend?”Originally posted by Elite_Pie View PostSo 'the leadership' at the time of the original post on this topic has a few questions to answer tomorrow, but unfortunately it's not in a court of law. This country is f**ked anyway when at the next election you have the choice of Sunak, Starmer or Davey
The richest man in politics out of touch with the working class. The free mason knight of the realm, very working class, not. Or that other fella from that other party, what they called?
None of them get my voteLast edited by SwalePie; 21-03-2023, 07:40 PM.

I'm close to that, I can't support any party but I know evil, so my vote will go to the candidate most likely to keep the Tory out at the next election.Originally posted by OP67 View PostThis country is f**ked anyway when at the next election you have the choice of Sunak, Starmer or Davey

I doubt it but then very few politicians tell the truth.Originally posted by Elite_Pie View PostI'm close to that, I can't support any party but I know evil, so my vote will go to the candidate most likely to keep the Tory out at the next election.

It'll have to be the biggest swing in the history of elections to get Labour in as clear winners and that isn't going to happen, not with Starmer as leader. Most likely be a hung parliament but who will side with either of them??

I'm willing to bet you any amount (name your stake) it will happen.Originally posted by OP67 View PostIt'll have to be the biggest swing in the history of elections to get Labour in as clear winners and that isn't going to happen.
Not because Starmer is good, because the Tories are so bad.

Who did you vote for at the last election and how were they better than what might be available at the next one?Originally posted by OP67 View PostThis country is f**ked anyway when at the next election you have the choice of Sunak, Starmer or Davey

So in summary:
Tories: Bad (Tell Lies) and anyone who thinks they are good are bad too
Labour: Great (Don’t tell lies) and the world will be great when in power
Anyone who is on the fence and wants a bit of balance is a secret tory.
Great documentary here about the mainstream media: https://youtu.be/SoXHCZkQ_OI

I voted Tory because I wanted the whole Brexit sh*t sorted as it was just dragging on and on. Corbyn couldn't decide if he was for or against Brexit because he was a Eurosceptic yet his shadow cabinet were all for staying in the EU. I couldn't vote for someone that didn't have the balls to stick by his beliefs, he f**ked it all up because of that for soooooo many people.Originally posted by BigFatPie View PostWho did you vote for at the last election and how were they better than what might be available at the next one?
For the record I'm traditionally a Labour voter but the above made it impossible. The free mason knight of the realm isn't any better as he's been poor opposition.
No idea how I'd vote in 2024 as yet.
*Awaits for the condescending comments*

And it still is! Lots and lots of people like you obviously thought that Boris would "get Brexit done", but they must be very disappointed. His main promises were that we would stop illegal immigrants (numbers have gone up massively), we would be free to negotiate loads of great trade deals (where are they?), and that the country and NHS in particular would be much better off (the biggest lie of all).Originally posted by OP67 View PostI voted Tory because I wanted the whole Brexit sh*t sorted as it was just dragging on and on.
Not condescending but forget Starmer and face facts, you were conned.
