There is a place for everyone in a modern society irrespective of what type or standard of education they have received however, those so-called ‘brainier’ bods are the generally the ones who go on to become the bosses in life whilst the menial mostly go on to do the menial tasks that society cannot function properly without them. This is just the way of life, the survival of the fittest etc, always been like this, probably always will be.Originally posted by the_anticlough View Postand that entitlement cannot be questioned....
Out of interest, if you're rating politicians by their education, what would you consider to be 'lower educated'? And what level of education qualifies as acceptable?

Really surprised (in a pleasant way) to see that Labour won the Batley and Spen by-election. The Tories were 1/7 to win because George Galloway took a large chunk of the Labour vote. Hopefully people are finally waking up to the fact that we are being led by a shower of sh!t.

Yes, Labour and Galloway combined had 57%. Interesting to see 'Yorkshire' come in 5th with over 2%. We might be looking at a border crossing with an independent Yorkshire before too longOriginally posted by Elite_Pie View PostReally surprised (in a pleasant way) to see that Labour won the Batley and Spen by-election. Any little twitches now serious? Keir Starmer has claimed that "Labour is back", but I'm far from convinced. I think this was a particularly nasty by-election fought on hatred and division, and I'm hoping it's a victory for right over wrong rather than left over right. It does however add some weight to the theory that the Tories are slowly but surely being rumbled, and if that's the case I'll see it as a double victory.Originally posted by seriouspie View PostIt certainly was youth. But I'm not twitching yet until we see what happens in Batley & Spen.
