OK. Today was another example as to why giving the Tories (or 'scum' as Angela Rayner more accurately described them) a big majority.

Conservative Owen Paterson has avoided punishment for now as the government ordered its MPs to back a review of standards investigations. The result of the vote was met with cries of "shame" from opposition MPs. Mr Paterson was found to have misused his position as an MP to benefit two companies he worked for.

So even though he was found "to have misused his position as an MP to benefit two companies he worked for", because the government ORDERED their MPs to back a review of standards rather than punish him, he escapes for now. Credit to the 13 Tory MPs who broke ranks and disagreed, but enough of them had their noses in similar troughs to back him.

If a system is not working as it should then yes, by all means look at how the system can be improved but you don’t just do it to get one of your mates off the hook !!!. A sorry state of affairs and sadly, quite typical of this inept and probably corrupt government. Shame on those who voted to back the review. Regards Angela Rayna’s comments calling the tory’s scum, just go’s to show that her level of intelligence is below that expected of a politician let alone the deputy leader of the opposition.

So the sleazebag who broke the rules has resigned as an MP, but still insists he was "totally innocent" of breaking lobbying rules!!! He wants a "life outside the cruel world of politics". So how cruel has the world of politics been to you Mr Paterson? More importantly, how cruel has it been to your bank balance? Yet again Boris Johnson backs a loser, but still people have their heads buried firmly in the sand.

I've always loved the 'rocket-surgery' hybrid. Didn't realise the Florists were smart enough to have started using that one. Maybe things are looking up over there at last!
