Give the Tories their due, they must be the most democratic party, EVER, cos everyone has a turn at being leader.
Boris stayed after the cake and wallpaper.

Lying about the Pincher affair, lying to the Queen, lying about partygate are just a few things. Sacked from previous jobs for lying. Note the connection? Why ever should be be trusted with the country again?

Didn't I say he shouldn't run in any leadership election, MM?

You did. But not because he simply can't seem to see what the truth is, but because it's not worth the hassle!

They say they want someone to unite the party. I think he would divide it. And another reason I don't want him to get it is that I don't think I could take any more of Nadine Dorries or JRM fawning over him.

              • That's it Elite. There's also a spreadsheet online listing backers for each.

If Boris gets back in, my appliction for EU residency is likely to follow swiftly.

                  • Interesting. The bookies seem to think it's Ritchie Rich's by a good margin.

Ben Wallace has ruled himself out and is leaning towards backing Boris so those odds are already out of date if that's correct.

We are a laughing stock in Europe.

                        • Thing is, IF Boris decides to stand and IF he gets a 100 backers, it then goes to the members in an on-line vote if I'm understanding it correctly. Hmmmmm.............. Lot of ''if's'' there though.

I didn't think Boris stood a chance because at first it seemed the party members wouldn't be involved this time. It's very different now they might be. I'm sure he'll stand if he gets 100 backers, and then history (although only 7 week old history) could repeat itself. If it goes to the blue rinse and gammon brigade, they will ignore the wishes of their MPs and saddle us with another useless Prime Minister.

                              • Just in case there's any misunderstanding, there's another Swedish pie who I think posts on here occasionally, is lovely, definitely not a Tory MP and I'm pretty certain wouldn't be backing Boris! And is actually Swedish.
