Ah good for him. Scored some memorable goals and thought he'd have been worth another year although I can't say this season I've thought of him once if I'm honest.Originally posted by BCnotts18 View PostEli Sam mi Lord wins the Belgian third tier, scoring 12 in 24 in the process.

You have to wonder what Luke might have got out of himOriginally posted by BCnotts18 View PostEli Sam mi Lord wins the Belgian third tier, scoring 12 in 24 in the process.

Also wonder if he was in touch to congratulate people at the club on our promotion, I suppose many ex-players doLast edited by SwalePie; 21-05-2023, 07:03 PM.

A bit of an anomaly was Eli. One minute he'd look levels above us, beating players and scoring brilliant goals (that goal against Oxford City has got to be one of the best goals ever scored by a Notts player) but then, in the next phase of play, he'd genuinely look like an alien who didn't even know what football was.Originally posted by SwalePie View PostGreat news, a very likeable and not unskilful player!
Really pleased for him though, and as others have said, it certainly would've been interesting to see how he'd have fared in this team.Last edited by SwalePie; 21-05-2023, 07:04 PM.

Can you see him as part of a passing group carefully advancing forward? I can't, but as an isolated striker or part of a breakaway duo, well perhaps, but that scenario isn't part of an LW plan. It happens though.Originally posted by BCnotts18 View PostA bit of an anomaly was Eli. Personally I always saw Eli as strongest coming in off the left onto his right foot. He was never physically dominant enough to play up top on his own.Originally posted by LaxtonLad View PostCan you see him as part of a passing group carefully advancing forward? Kyle Wooton - I wondered how he would get on in League 2. Top scorer for Stockport with a respectable 14 goals. OK not prolific, but it has helped Stockport to a play-off final.

He's also been injured for a few games believe he's got to have a knee op - also won their player of the year.Originally posted by ThaiPie View PostKyle Wooton - I wondered how he would get on in League 2. Thought he did well for us but always thought he would do better in a top two, imagine him and Macca

Craig Westcarr is leaving Hucknall Town to pursue his next challenge.
Edit: Just looking at the Hucknall Town FC site:
"Hucknall Town FC Promotional Video

2023 Play-off final Post Match Interviews 29th April 20023"
I'll put the date in my diary, but it seems a long time to wait

Stevenage won promotion back to League 1 this year with a squad which includes Jake Reeves and Luther James-Wildin.
Wildin has now made nearly 200 League appearances for them since we released him from our youth set up in 2017. There's often talk of 'why don't we bring any good youngsters through' but with him and Colby Bishop both released around the same time, it's clear we do - we just haven't seen much benefit from it ourselves for a while.

The problem is, we have to make a pint on players who are 18, Bishop spent a few years in non league before Accrington took a punt on him.Originally posted by DaveSmithRules View PostStevenage won promotion back to League 1 this year with a squad which includes Jake Reeves and Luther James-Wildin.

Do we have the resources to have an under 21/23 squad when we are desperate to get up the league's? Don't get me wrong, we might get a star develop, but it takes time to develop them further for the first team. If I was Notts, I think I'd scrap the academy, spend the money on an under 23/reserve team and develop players such as Francis who were dropped from premier league academies. I believe Brentford did this to great effect

The other lad who’s left with him Kieran Knight he’s. Proper striker just a shame we don’t have a U23 side I’d of liked to of seen knight in a Notts shirt and see what we could of made out of himOriginally posted by Old_pie View PostCraig Westcarr is leaving Hucknall Town to pursue his next challenge.
