  • Not quite an ex-player, but I had no idea that one of our ex-managers is an international manager - Chris Kiwomya at the British Virgin Islands.

Fun story on English int’l managers here:

England appointed German Thomas Tuchel but there is no shortage of English-born coaches in charge of national teams across the globe.

Wasn't Randall more of a Luke Williams pick, dating back to their time at Swindon? I suppose it still had to be sanctioned though.

Reminds me of when Colin Murphy briefly managed Vietnam during his peregrinations after leaving us.
Although his programme notes proved equally baffling to them, even when translated, the locals still considered it a Nguyen-Nguyen situation.

        • Watching Sheff U v Cardiff and good to see that Kion Etete got a start as I think he?d been injured. Subbed at half-time though, so I didn?t see him as only switched on for 2nd half. Joel Bagan also in the Cardiff 11.

            • Jorge Grant missed added time penalty for Hearts at Aberdeen , striking the post and rebounding clear.

Yes he had a good game, a bit of fancy footwork and headed one off the line in taking Spurs to extra time.

Or Mick Waitt managed New Zealand. He took Mick Leonard there too.

Striker Tyrell Waite has left the club by mutual consent. We would like to thank Tyrell for all his hard work and commitment during his time at the club. Midfielder Kacy Milan...

Still only 30! Seems a lifetime ago that he played for us. And that we'd offload our 'not quite good enough' youngsters to Lincoln City.

Who can ever forget that goal away to Carlisle when he didn’t look behind him to see the forward lurking in the goalmouth.

I'm sure there's a decent football league keeper there. He joined us as a kid when we were sliding out of the league, but still looked decent. Surprised at how little progress he's made in the 5-6 years since.

On a deal with Morecambe til the end of the season. Given their league position he ought to get lots of shot-stopping practice.

If we move on Stone I'd be happy with someone like him coming in to challenge Bass next season.

It's a shame the timing was wrong, Brookes would have been a perfect back up but with Slocombe and Stone around, it made no sense. Schofield is a busted flush as a keeper, he'll probably make a decent National League keeper but no higher, he had potential but he never achieved it, probably didn't help getting chucked into a relegation battle at 19
