We don't need any more backups though. We made that mistake with Gordon. One Mansfield reject is enough thanks. We need some quality additions that will come straight into the first team and improve usOriginally posted by tommopie8 View PostThere's much worse out there at RWB as back-up than Hewitt.

Amen! Let?s focus on quality over quantity with our summer signings, ideally with players who are L1 level already.Originally posted by KCNotts View PostWe don't need any more backups though. I agree. We don't want players who will need time to acclimatise and get up to speed, we don't want 'ones for the future' unless the future is immediate. We need players capable of making an impact from day one.Originally posted by Med Pie View PostWe need at least five players who will go straight in to the starting eleven IMO.

Some players we might well be interested in:Originally posted by Elite_Pie View PostI agree. We don't want players who will need time to acclimatise and get up to speed, we don't want 'ones for the future' unless the future is immediate. We need players capable of making an impact from day one.
Caleb Richards, young Kiddy fullback.
Matthew Dennis, Striker from Carlisle.
And Josh Hawkes from Tranny, I've already mentioned.

I don't know where you've got your info from Gump, but those three are thoroughly underwhelming if true. Bench-warmers at best and not the sort of players who will come in and make an impact. Dennis might be okay...but meh.Originally posted by countygump View PostSome players we might well be interested in:

Add to this the Hewitt rumour and I'd worry these are not the signings of a promotion chasing team.

My thoughts exactly, but I felt compelled to share the misery. Misery loves company!Originally posted by KCNotts View PostI don't know where you've got your info from Gump, but those three are thoroughly underwhelming if true. I agree. We have lost Langstaff, Crowley, Nemane, Didzy since the end of the 23/24 season and also Abbott from the 24/25 season.Originally posted by Med Pie View PostWe need at least five players who will go straight in to the starting eleven IMO.
We need five ready and raring to go players who are going to come into the starting eleven and be like Bass, Bedeau and Platt were last summer and play for 35+ games.
The difference being that the five that come in need to go into midfield and the top end of the pitch and have creativity, physicality, pace and firepower.
