My rule number one is a simple one: Are his present club keen to keep him? If the answer?s yes, like here, that?s already a step-up from all the out-of-contract signings we used to make before the bros arrived.Originally posted by irish_pie View PostJosh Hawkes...a player i really rate... always plays well against us... very busy on the ball and scores goals from midfield... still only 26... a big yes from me

Wonder if it?s Michael Reindorf? Didn?t get rave reviews from the Bristol Rovers managers when on loan.
Great Name ! poor footballer ? possibly, who knows ? Has anyone on this board seen him play ?

MK Franchise are apparently after ex-Notts loanee ((I think?) Aaron Collins from Bolton, even though they’d reportedly have to pay about ?700k for him. They’re definitely backing Warne and will be the team to beat. Mind you, we also thought that last season.Originally posted by KCNotts View PostThat defender from Chester has gone to Walsall so he isn't coming here. Seems a decent signing for them. Also MK Dons are signing some good players...they will lean business next season.

Chesterfield sure should be. Now it?s their second season they know the division, they have a very experienced manager in charge who has promotions on his CV. They are financially backed better than most and are happy to pay good wages for quality old players.
No excuses not to do very well this time. In fact I?m surprised they did not do better last season based on the lineups they put out each week.

I'm not so sure with Chesterfield's position. One of their owners has a terminal condition and the other owner is his brother, I have to say, in the position, I'm not sure football is a priorityOriginally posted by Boomerangpie View PostChesterfield sure should be.
