Personally a big no from me.
Damien Duff has done well over here I think. Don't really follow it over here but is often mentioned
Didn't he openly reject us last time we were looking for a coach? Higgins, I mean.

Yup, Nottingham is indeed a ****hole. It's embarrassing comparing it to cities like Leeds and Manchester, both of which have had so much more investment pumped in in recent years.

        • I love Nottingham.
I moved away for 8 years between 2006-14 and appreciated it so much more when I returned.
It has its run down areas, but so does every city.
I?ve had many nights out in Manchester and don?t see how it?s any better.
We have some great bars/restaurants, some lovely parks and countryside, great golf clubs, and obviously Meadow Lane.
I love travelling but always happy to be home.

You all know where I live, I've lived and traveled abroad for the last 30 years and despair, each time I come back. Getting out permanently was the best thing we ever did but, it will always be home.

The market square that used to be gleaming, hardly seems to get cleaned these days and is covered in chewing gum. There are dozens of empty shops with drunks and junkies in the doorways and the all pervading smell of marijuana in the air.
I hate Nottingham city centre now, it's so run down and depressing. It's a disgrace.

Buckingham would be a fantastic appointment if he was realistic. Ticks all the boxes of being a modern coach who has worked on set-ups like ours while with the City group, plays the kind of football we want, and has a recent EFL promotion on his CV.

It's the absolute pits &, the suburbs. Was back home end of November for the 1st time in a few years & couldn't get over how run down & unmaintained things were. As Bulwell lad born n bred & lived there for 27 yrs, was adamant I would never leave but, I wouldn't move back now anywhere in the suburbs even if you paid me. Everywhere is going down hill, even over here in Ireland & the town i live in.
                  It's a fcuking **** hole.

                    Thoughts?
Wild card manager? Alan Sheehan? Currently coaching at Swansea and use the stats/
                    database system for recruitment?

                      • I'm not so sure, some nice buildings along the canal side, the area between the station going up the lace market broad marsh as some nice landscaping, I like the large square and looking up at impressive buildings, yes the begging seems to be out of control

He's not just coaching at Swansea, he's the head coach. Was confirmed permanently at the end of April.

I think he'd be a good fit for us.

He is not likely to leave a job that he as just been appointed to.

                              • Still think it's too early to take the odds seriously, but if Buckingham is a serious candidate, this interview is worth watching:

He describes the tactics he used to win the playoff final against Bolton. Sort of a 4141 but could also be described as a 433. Really interesting to see his approach. I think this formation would work great for us, with Jones and Jarvis in more attacking roles where they can do real damage.
