Interesting article here on Hinshelwood's style of play at York: https://www.analystsbar.com/post/ada...tical-analysis
If this is an accurate reflection of what he could bring to Notts then I think he would be an excellent fit attackers and defenders currently in the squad.
Would need signings in midfield to make this work (a playmaker with a longer range of passing and some legs/work rate to cover ground) but anyone who has watched Notts this season will know with Abbott leaving this is the position of greatest concern and will need investment anyway.

I'd guess Hinshelwood will have some decent contacts at PL and Championship clubs via his family membersOriginally posted by IPieWithMyLittleEye View PostInteresting article here on Hinshelwood's style of play at York: https://www.analystsbar.com/post/ada...tical-analysis

Could help with loans if he comes in

Not sure about Mike Williamson? failed at high profile clubs like Fakes and a well funded Carlisle. Last season was a disaster for his reputation and a bit like his predecessor?s I am not sure he would be willing to shift from his plan A.Originally posted by HeroPie1862 View PostChatGPT thinks Mike Williamson and Adam Hinshelwood are the top favourites.
Edit: I for one would welcome Luke's son into the club with open arms.

Agreed, 2 well funded clubs and 2 failures for Williamson makes me wary. Not that keen on Hinshelwood, if I'm honest. No EFL managerial experience, though in fairness, at least he was at the right end of the NL with York. Surely we can do better?Originally posted by Notts78 View PostNot sure about Mike Williamson? failed at high profile clubs like Fakes and a well funded Carlisle. It seems reasonable to think the Bros were just waiting for this train wreck of a season to finish and had been quietly looking for someone who had actually seen a football and knew what to do with it.Originally posted by caj85 View PostHow long do we expect the appointment to take realistically?
Do you think the Bros had a line up prior to the playoffs?

this maybe the truth of it, but doesn't it also imply the owners don't mind leaving the fans and club (and players?) in limbo while they're on the beach?Originally posted by Chicken Balti Pie View PostJust because it hasn't been announced doesn't mean it hasn't already been sorted. Holidays and such happen at this time of year in football
I hope there was a plan in place before they sacked SM, and I'd have thought that if there was, there would be advantages to announcing it early.Last edited by Mud Pie; 29-05-2025, 01:26 PM.
