Warnock is another that gave his Notts team a clear identity and was clearly the one leading the charge. Not everyone will enjoy that identity but I think it's so important to have one.

Going back, Wilko provided the identity too, different again.

To be a fly-on-the-wall for the interviews would be fascinating. For the key question of "How do you want to play?" I hope it's a case of...

'Well, I'm flexible, I'll see what we've got and....' = Scratched off the list
'I like X, but with the players we have so far, I think what's best is....' = Continue interview
'I strongly believe in this...' = Continue interview

There is no chance it will be Williams. The brothers are smart business people rather than football romantics. They wont be the type to go back given that LW walked away and broke a contract

Yeah - that downward turn which saw us found out sitting in 5th and winning 3-0 and 5-0 in his last two homes matches. Awful football.

Yeah, pity he had lost 8 of his last 12 though, but just a blip I guess.

Losing key players is not a mitigating factor according to some on this board over the last year.

.. or the brothers (well not a determining factor anyway).

Losing your two main centre midfielders is a massive hit, most teams could handle one but never both

Injuries are usually unfortunate accidents Self inflicted wounds are another matter.

                        • Evatt, Priske and Alves all joint favorite now at 3/1.... Lukey still in there at 4/1... oh and hide your wives John Terry in at 40/1

But christ they are dragging it out which may mean compensation for someone.

Or waiting for a contract to expire, lets face it very few have a clue and probably none of us on here are in the select group who do.
