  • I’d be very happy with the return of LW, especially as the recruitment team has finally recognised that fitness and physicality do actually matter at this level (and above).

I wonder, if he does return, would we be able to get Macca back as well?
He'll be on, what, £8-10k a week at Millwall? He'll just sit it out there for that money, rather than what we'd be able to offer him (max of half of whatever he's on there).

Wasn't Didzy on ?6k? Something like that. Maybe he'd rather come home and get paid 2-3x what he was paid just 18 months ago and actually enjoy his football again. Or maybe he could come on loan.

        • Then a loan would be better and pay a percentage.

But didn't he say he loves playing football more than anything else. He'll not be doing much of that over the next 2 years at Millwall that's for sure. However he probably prefers a healthy bank balance these days so not a chance.

            • Tom Shaw's odds have shortened in the last hour from 5/1 to 3/1, the only change among the front runners.
              Solberg still favourite at 5/4.

But, crucially, LW and Alves suspended, which I would assume means they've had punts today that the others have not had the likes of over the last 2 weeks.

The max bet is ?20. Even if you wait a few days and the odds change, it won't let you stake more on the same selection, unless someone has multiple accounts I suppose.

So multiple bets in one short space (NCFC office staff, LW mates)?

Anything is possible I suppose, but Williams drifted out as high as 20/1 at one point, if I was a friend or a member of staff and knew talks were happening I'd be filling my boots at that point.

Honestly who knows, it's a real Mickey mouse market, depth is thinner than my hairline.

                      • I would be absolutely chuffed if Lukey boy came back. Still think it will be someone like Shaw or Solberg.

                        • Shaw would be a bigger risk than Maynard surely? He?s not got the greatest CV. Surely he?s only being linked due to the proximity of the clubs?

                          • It?s now time it was sorted to allow who ever it is to get settled in the area and look at what we have in terms of squad and what?s needed ( of course in his opinion) as the rest of the management will decide who we need !! All this holiday crap is rubbish you can have internet meetings interviews doesn?t need to be face to face.

My money is on Shaw. Seems like a Reedz appointment to me. Also he's from Nottingham and i think they will appreciate that.

Not the most exciting appointment, but it sounds like he has spent years earning his stripes so I'd get behind him. Everyone has to start somewhere and he has a good rep as a coach by all accounts.

If the squad are all on holiday who exactly is the new man assessing?
