If this is the case then relegation is on the cards the squad at present is extremely weak and the 4 signings 3 of which are in recovery from injuries are not the most prolific additions.

I doubt we'll be that bad but on the previous page someone was suggesting we'll be in a battle for third with the likes of Chesterfield and Walsall.Originally posted by Poultonmagpie View PostIf this is the case then relegation is on the cards the squad at present is extremely weak and the 4 signings 3 of which are in recovery from injuries are not the most prolific additions.
I'd say at the moment it's more likely to be a race for 13th with Bromley and Barrow.

I wonder how our senior players are feeling?Originally posted by marky View PostI doubt we'll be that bad but on the previous page someone was suggesting we'll be in a battle for third with the likes of Chesterfield and Walsall.

I'm starting to think that the management team is already in place
As I said in a much earlier post I won't be putting any money on us getting promoted
Maybe I'm being too pessimistic and the advised change in the football dept. is a stroke of genius
But it would be nice to know exactly what those changes are
At least it would stop all the speculation

As I've already said on another thread ask yourself why David Mcgoldrick has left. Something must have seriously pissed him off for him to just leave.Originally posted by Could'vebeenacontender View PostI wonder how our senior players are feeling?

He was one of our highest earners, we dropped his wages in the contract offer and he didn't find it acceptable so he's left. No big deal, I'd rather spend that money on two players that will play all the timeOriginally posted by marky View PostAs I've already said on another thread ask yourself why David Mcgoldrick has left. Surely you realise there was far more to it than money ??? He took a massive drop to come here so I doubt that money is his motivation. Seeing the ongoing plan for the football club may well have triggered him though.Originally posted by Chicken Balti Pie View PostHe was one of our highest earners, we dropped his wages in the contract offer and he didn't find it acceptable so he's left. Yes ! They didnt offer him enough cash.!Originally posted by marky View PostAs I've already said on another thread ask yourself why David Mcgoldrick has left. Something must have seriously pissed him off for him to just leave.
Loved Didzy but hes gone so let's get on with it. I do find it ironic that some are slamming the club for signing a 32 year old with a recent record of injuries yet have released a 38 year old with a recent record of injuries and are well, slamming the club for doing so!!? Confused, well you will be..!!!

According to 'Agent_Trev' on 'X' we are working on a two-year deal with Luke Williams.

Yep, definitely. We shall see!Originally posted by CheezyNCFC View PostHe has but he's also been wrong or what he's said hasn't materialised at least too. Either way that account is clearly someone who is either ITK or at least likes to think they are - They clearly have some level of intel from within the club.

He is going to need some help if it is him as he had a stronger squad whilst he was last here in L2.Originally posted by SwalePie View Post'Trev' has been right a few times before (Maynard, Jatta etc.) so maybe it's time for LW and some 'unfinished business' after all?
ETA: LW now in to 5/4
He might end up being exposed as we dont have players to play his way at present.
I cant help thinking like ive said last 6 teams to go up automatic all had a manager with at least one promotion and played a basic game too, worth thinking about ?

From what I understood at the time we offered him 30% less as a weekly salary but Derby only offered one year.Originally posted by cjpieman View PostSurely you realise there was far more to it than money ??? We offered him 2 years so gave him a longer term security.
So yes, he took a big cut in weekly wage but that?s not the full picture.

On the flip side the league at the time was a lot stronger and our defence was a hell of a lot weaker. Add a Langstaff/McGoldrick/Ruben/Crowley match winning type player to our existing squad and we'll be up there.Originally posted by legs77 View PostHe is going to need some help if it is him as he had a stronger squad whilst he was last here in L2.
