Pedant alert but obviously people aren't "queueing for the job" it's not like when you go shopping and queue up to pay but more importantly have we actually been interviewing people as we haven't really heard anything. It's all a far cry from the days of Alan Hardy when he infamously told everyuone on twitter "some were good, some were ok, some were blummin awful".

any reason? Literally one of the best run clubs in the league. Two of our previous manager's have moved to higher up clubs, we have a decent fanbase and solid infastructure, selling players for profit and playing progressive attacking football (apart from the latter Maynard days).Originally posted by Piessince67 View PostIt's a no from me
There will be a lot of interest, but they'll have their own methods and characteristics they'll want to hire on.

**Serious question, not a wind up!**
Is the apparent panic and anger on here today based on anything someone's heard about the state of the club having changed? Does someone know something worrying or is it just based on the transfers so far and the slow coaching team announcement? There seems to be a 'more than usually fraught' atmosphere on here today from a few. (Maybe it's just the warm weather?)Last edited by SwalePie; 17-06-2025, 01:26 PM.

I think the new manager has already been sorted but we aren't able to announce it yet for some reason. It's the only story that fits for me. There's was a hint that this might be the case in previous comms from the club.
The owners aren't stupid, if they couldn't find someone, there would have put out holding comms to allay concerns. Something along the lines of 'we continue our search to appoint the right coaching team. It's an important decision we want to get right and will take time blah blah blah '. The fact they've said nothing makes me more convinced it's all done.
Just don't buy the 'no-one wants us' theory. There are so many out of work managers/coaches and we're an attractive proposition; whatever supporters think of the coaching structure, there would have been plenty of appointable candidates.
