Definitely Bule, we've had a glaring problem at RCB ever since returning to L2 and even before that. It'd be amazing to see that as an area of strength after so long of Brinds/Rawlo/Macari/Ness/Cundy/McDonald etc. Aljofree could be the best answer yet.

One thing that interests me is the casual way Gagliardi keeps mentioning a back 4. Notts haven't had that as the go-to formation since March 2021. I don't think formation matters for fans as long as we get results and we can play well.
But it is a big deal in that we have to settle on a Plan A way of playing before the season starts or we'll be forced into one over time by negative results

Hi AC. It's sad that you seem to be posting here alone. Everyone else has moved or been banned. Don't you want to join in on the new site ? You usually have some good insights.

No sadness, if I'm the one to turn the lights out that's right up my street Apart from that I joined PON, which is great, so sorted.

I'm still here as I can't remember the other site details ha ha. I really should write things down. I'm quietly optimistic about the new season, I liked Patersons micd up session on you tube, seems to have some grit at least and has played at a high level, if his coaching is good with Andy Edwards then it could turn it ok. See you at for the Salford game COYP

Im not feeling very optimistic. In view of the lack of signings and outgoings, I believe we will finish towards the lower end of the table..

I sense some unrest will spill over into the games if things are not going too well ....

I predicted 20th last season (based on zero belief in Maynard) so I don’t want to be so far out again, but I fear you might be right - lower end, unless 2 or 3 first teamers can be brought in asap. The squad as it currently stands is well short of promotion challengers

Think we are going to struggle. All we needed was a couple of tweeks. Our best players have gone. In my eyes not been replaced like for like. People say give him 10 games or so before deciding on the Coach. 10 games far too many, that is a quarter of the season gone & from past experience, the way you tend to start the 1st few games tends to say how your season is going to go

All true IP, but with Roos and a couple to come, we shouldn't be struggling near the bottom.

Crazy to consider job security for MP before a competitive ball's been kicked. They/we have to give him time.

I'd guess the threshold for him is just 'in touch with the play-offs/not being in the relegation mix', but the coaches market in October is different to the one in June, maybe still including a certain Mr. Williams, so MP better meet that modest threshold.

We desperately need another proven striker. If Dennis gets injured we are in the sh*t. As for Jatta, i cant seem him being at the club much longer, his agent will make sure of that..

No arguments on the cover and numbers, Durham. I'd be amazed if we don't sign a CF or ACM, maybe both, in the next 7 days.

Jatta could be this season's Crowley. But the Club and the Bros are no pushovers, they've shown that they can say no and sell on their terms as with Crowley, or turn away money when the situation calls for it by keeping Ruben and Wootton.

Hopefully even Jatta and his agent can see that his value has dipped since the start of the year but can be restored. The rumoured offers are not the ones that were coming at the start of the year and that will be contract value as well as fee. It's in the interest of both parties to try to boost up the value again. We also need time to settle on the 2 15+ goal contributors you need for a promotion challenge - I don't think the club can gamble on Dennis, Traore or whoever else they can bring in at this late stage.
