Lack of invention, lack of direction and lack of motivation from the manager down. Players have to take a bit of the blame here as well. Make no mistake, from what I saw at Palmerston earlier in the season, Peterhead are no Barcelona so that was a shocking result.
Who knows where the club are heading as there will be a lot of fans reluctant to return while this shambles is on display, probably me included it pains me to say. Loyaltys a wonderful thing but wasting £20-30 of my hard earned money on a bunch of charlatans who show zero effort or care is a sign of stupidity

The lack of motivation is stark. Peter is standing on the touchline arms folded doing nothing. The players don't believe in the gameplan and the manager won't change or can't change.
The substitution of Leslie looked like bringing on Scott to try and get some control in midfield but he put him in the same position that hadn't worked all game. Mind numbingly stupid.

Following the furore over the Cletic manager's quote: what's the difference between Brendan Rogers and Peter Murphy? Murphy's been given the keys to a Ferrari (for League I) but drives it like a Honda Civic, - whereas Rogers has been given the keys to a Honda Civic (for the SPL) and expected to drive it like a Ferrari.
In other words, a lot of money has been spent assembling the team Murphy wanted, - but he's not using it to its full potential. We are full time for heaven's sake, - with some very well paid players, - our part time opponents would love to be in our position.

For sure Murphy is getting the most out of these players. His demeanour on the touchline standing frozen with his arms folded shows to me a lack of passion and this is seen it the team and the way we play. We need someone who can motivate the players and not bore them and supporters alike with his defense first style of play. As you say we should be dominating teams like Peterhead and taking the game to them from the off. Watching Queens at the moment is a difficult watch and if they style of play does not change soon the crowd will be down to the hardy loyals who support Queens regardless of the crap on the pitch. It does take much of an excuse for me at the moment to skip a game but being a season holder they already have my money perhaps on false pretenses.Originally posted by jardi View PostFollowing the furore over the Cletic manager's quote: what's the difference between Brendan Rogers and Peter Murphy? The knock on effect what happens on the pitch is catastrophic for the club financially. Lower crowds and the hospitality is never busy these days. Partly down to the price increase although saying that it?s a great day out.
The new hospitality suite currently being finished in the area is going to be something else. Hopefully fans will support it and the club are bringing in former players for a Q&A session at all remaining games.

Great result, it's all about consistency now and not reverting to type.
I'm going to have slightly disagree in terms of the line up. There weren't, for me, a lot of top players missing. I would suggest that was a strong starting 11 with Guthrie, Allan and Hewitt missing and none of them (possibly Guthrie aside) as a guaranteed starter. You could maybe throw Penman in but not been overly impressed there.

No problem Threefivetwo, - it?s just the manager has used the lack of a decent squad excuse for months, / instead of blaming his insipid tactics. Let?s hope to God that he?s finally realised that he needed to change and not everyone else.
That result will bring quite a lot of dissatisfied people back to Palmy next Saturday, but I think he?s on his last chance if he reverts to type - because the fans will simply stay away.

I would agree, he stands at the side of the park, writes a few things in a tiny notepad, and then interviews after the game with a gormless grin and a bagful of pathetic excuses. Bartley got more abuse on chats and fan sites and at the ground for doing no worse to be honest and with a far worse squad.
It was the most inept performance I've seen for many a year. No guile, graft, idea, invention and most worryingly absolutely zero interest or effort for any of those players on the park. Inexcusable!!!!
