Fatfan, you and I will always disagree and that?s what makes football interesting. However, there is no point in the manager complaining about a small squad if he doesn?t try alternatives, - especially when you are handed a player on the fringe of the first team at Kili. Every other team uses their subs, whether they have quality or not, simply to bring on fresh legs, avoid injuries to the top players, or refereeing sanctions, or believe it or not, to see if they can make a contribution. Today?s match was heading for a 0-0 draw, or possibly even a sneaky Alloa win, so it was a complete shock to take 3 points. Unless the lad is still unfit, he should have been given a few minutes in my humble opinion, along with the young striker to stretch the opposition.

But he didn’t blow the whistle 30 seconds earlier and qos won. I honestly can’t believe the arrogance of some who seem to expect Qos should win every game in this league at the moment and when we don’t then it’s the managers fault. And when we win then it’s the managers fault that we didn’t win more comfortably. The man just can’t win.

Am I the managers biggest fan? Far from it. I have regularly questioned his ability in making this team better. But I do realise this. We are a club with a small squad with a smallish budget for a full time team. And with that we get what we pay for. Generally young inexperienced players who are going to produce a mixed bag of performances. And although today’s game was a hard watch at times, it was a win that may well prove to be priceless at the end of the season to get us into a play off spot or more. I wonder how many fans will say the manager was right with letting the lads fight to the bitter end and get the win. I don’t suspect there will be many!

Jardi, if he'd have blown his whistle 30 seconds earlier he'd have been in breach of every rule going. QoS scored within the permitted timescales.

As for the boy Leslie, again, who are they bringing him on for. The most obvious would be Dickenson, Kennedy or Smith, none of which I would replace. I've not seen enough of him to decide if we've got the second coming of George Best but I would suggest if he's on the fringes of the Killie first team he wouldn't be in Dumfries

None of the paying fans are going to see him if he?s not on the pitch, precisely the point I?m making. For the love of God, why does every other team in every other league make use of their 5 substitutes?

Not the prettiest of games but what a way to win the 3 points. Fantastic ball in from Stott , great assist from Douglas and superbly taken by Hewitt.

Hopefully this will give the team a confidence boost.

Not jumped so high in a long time at that goal. Not good for an old man.
Obviously a difficult night for both teams and at least we kept a clean sheet. McKenzie didn't build on his debut. Stott was ineffective in his position and Smith kept turning over possession. He needs a rest.
Great early save from Ross. Brennan worked his butt off. Penman picked up from a shaky start.
Well done to the 601 who attended.
