On a positive note

I am struggling to be positive at this time to be honest, we messed with relegation battle last year, always in the bottom half and our squad is significantly weaker this year. I enjoy watching Powell play he is far too good for us but even that is another disaster about to happen as this is his last year of his contract and we yet again are doing nothing to tie him up longer, the TS excuse gang on here will state there is nothing we can do blah, blah, blah

I think the squad is short of numbers and we'll miss two departing players sorely, but there is also one I'm glad to see the back of and a couple we won't miss at all. Short on numbers, definitely, and still four or five (minimum) needed to start a meaningful season.

I don't have a great deal of hope we'll do much because there is no real sign of 'investment' in an attempt to push for top places, nor to bring in young players who we might try to bring on for 26/27 and beyond. I don't think we'll end up down at the bottom either though, unless we get plagued by injuries. All feels a bit flat from the club at the moment, but if Hamshaw's got them up for it by the time we start, a couple of early wins might get fans going, and give Anthony a bit of a nudge to part with some of his 80th birthday money before deadline day.
