It?s all guesswork really but essentially you?ve got a guy from a sheltered and privileged background not a chiselled lad from Rawmarsh that?s had a few rounds with slack Alice that can see the traps and pitfalls

The media circus has been quite interesting though, the way they latch on like a pit bull and shake the corpse. Some of it is quite subtle in the way they setup Andrew as a hate figure. Take the BBC for example, when they show pictures of him he?s always frowning or scowling, did the guy never smile? It really becomes the pantomime scenario of booing the villain

My personal take is that the very last thing about Mountbatten is that he's led a sheltered life , privileged certainly and privilege buys you tickets to let's say certain party's in certain circles .

I'd imagine Mountbatten would be the one taking the Rawmarsh kid under his wing and introducing him to these party's .

Pulling the village bike down the club on a Saturday night is a world away from the party's Epstein threw , the optics of sophistication , celebrities , fine food and drink shouldn't hide the sinister acts that were carried out .

I don't think it would be the worst decision for the King and Queen to step down and hand the monarchy over to William and Kate and have a major reset .

I'm not particularly in favour of royalty but at the same time I don't think getting rid of them right now is a great time in UK history to do it and even then I think it needs to be a voluntary decision from the Royals themselves rather than pushing them out and creating even more division in the country .

I think there's some value in a younger couple more in tune with the country taking over with the old guard out of the way .

A re-brand and image is definitely needed and with the country losing it's importance and influence internationally it may help improve our standing .

We underestimate how other country's and their governments love our royals when it's working well .

Agreed. A young, thinned out monarchy would suit the modern times. They are extremely popular abroad and bring kudos to the country whether people like it or not.
Abolishing them will not make this country more fairer or just. That went years ago.

My take is year on year whoever was or currently is sitting on the throne, come begging cap in hand for money from the treasury for the upkeep of the realm while they sit on countless pieces of art. These works of which are worth hundreds upon hundreds of millions,, they could quite easily put up for sale and show some understanding of the peoples current plight and how we mere mortals live.

Will they ever sell any treasures? Will they bolox. Oh and please don't tell me they bring in more in tourism than what the tresaury pays them....again it's all bolox.
