  • O/T Usyk v Dubois

I've never known a World Championship fight be so under mentioned. They use to get mega media coverage weeks in advance and right up to the fight night itself. This one has to turned up with no fanfare, the crowd though at Wembley will show just how big an occasion it still is.

Okay Usyk destroyed Dubois the first time around but and to his credit, Dubois has mapped out his career again and won all 3 of his last fights, the biggest being knocking out Anthony Joshua.

Unless Usyk is really on his game come tomorrow night, then I think we might be seeing a new English Triple belt World Champion holder.

Betting has it: Usyk 1/4........draw 16/1.......Dubois 3/1 which aren't big odds for Dubois so the bookies are for me playing it safe.

BBC Sport looks at the numbers behind Daniel Dubois' first meeting with Oleksandr Usyk and what he has been doing to prepare for the rematch on Saturday.

Maybe Brin it is down to Joe Public finding it all a bit fake.

It all looks a bit contrived

Grist, for a split purse of 150 Million, Usyk can smack me if he wants. Dubois will be made for life after this fight.

IF Dubois wins it, stratospheric bank account springs to mind.

I see Fury is back in the ring training once again and spouting he wants to fight Usyk again.....jeez give it up Tyson he won on all three cards last time. I suppose the mega millions counts for a lot.

Funny how Joshua has disappeared off the face of the boxing world map?

Really looking forward to this one.

Dubois is on the crest of a wave after the way he ironed out AJ. He's got a murderous punch on him which Usyk will obviously be aware of.

I definitely think Dubois will need a KO, I can't see him out-pointing Usyk over 12 rounds.

Today was a school day for Dubois, that was absolutely clinical from Usyk.

I don't know where he goes from here. There's literally no one left, he's beaten everyone up.

Phenomenal awesome display of boxing skills and sheer power over the younger man. In a word he's an animal!

When asked who he'd like to fight next, he rattled through the list and realised he'd flattened them all so called out Parker like he didn't care.

Usyk will go down in history as one of thee all time greats and rightly so. Personally, I don't think his record will be beat for many many years to come, if at all ever again.

Avin a laugh animal! Who's he beating old men in sporting terms or nobody like the younger heavyweights from past years. What's that make last Sunday's Wimbledon men's finalists 2 athletes just approaching their prime?

You're fishing again so go on I'll have a bite.

''Who's he beating old men in sporting terms?'' Err hello......Usyk 38 and Dubois 27 or didn't you read that part of the script. How many 38 year olds can you name who were double World Champions holding all FOUR belts?

As for beating who's who, he's beaten them all....AJ twice, Fury three times, Dubois twice.

The past is the past and the Boxing scene like every other sport has become more defined and boxers are far more fitter than bygone days where they just stood there leaning on each other slugging it out like the bore fests they use to be.

Then why put 'who's he beating, old men' ?

I'm sat here shaking my head.......... You really don't understand how many fights a boxer has to get through to become the number one contender do you?

They had to be number 1 contender in their respective division/weight to fight Usyk in the first place, it's not as if their Managers just jump on the phone and demand Usyk fights their man.....

It's like a senior sport! Where's younger contenders? Most sports at 30 you no longer are.

He?s very good Brin no doubt
Still think Tyson, Lewis , Fraser Ali etc would have dominated him.

Usyk fights with the entire nation of Ukraine behind him. If we showed a fraction of their pride in their sports heroes we would find it reciprocated.

His footwork and hand speed and accuracy are second to none.

Brin. He has beaten Fury twice, not three times mate. But TF claims he won them both.

You're correct buddy. I was thinking of the Fury v Wilder trilogy fights. I knew he'd fought a boxer three times forgot it was Wilder.
