Our fan base is so toxic now.
Not just on here across all platforms.
    Some still bitter about Evans.
    Most bitter about TS.
    Yearning for ex players back.
Yearning for signings anyone just anyone.
Judging us on every little thing, Beat Bromley and Harrogate they are rubbish we should beat them. Get beat off a very good Blades team we’re doomed.
    Toxic.

I'm worried by what I saw today, the recruiting hasn't finished and as someone said, we aren't playing Sheff Utd evey game when the season starts. Chalk and Cheese for me that's all.
As usual Brin, you are trying to play to the crowd. Anyone who complains on here about the regime is accused of wanting failure or being immature.

It’s a nonsense. The recruitment and organisation as we prepare for a professional season is a joke. As others have said, we are two weeks from kick off and we are playing a formation that doesn’t suit the playing staff. Both wing backs today are not wing backs. We have no back up centre halves - in fact we have only 2 CBs and we are playing 3. The middle seems overloaded and if we sign Benson we will have another one.

Up front is both woeful and woefully short of numbers. Nombe looked miles off it today as well which is a real worry.

And the Keeper department is worrying. Dawson was like a lumbering lump last year. He continues to deliver. Or do we just keep going on about the Bolton performance and ignore the truth.

Smell the coffee gentlemen and stop being so subservient and unambitious.

The poster above called us a mid table team - is that what it has come to? Accepting mediocrity before kick off?

Hammy didn't sound pleased about the shortage in numbers we have at this club.Is he not getting the support he was promised?

In our league there are three sections of 8 and we have a first 11 that are a middle third team and a bottom third squad.
We weren’t that bad in the first half, if James could cross a ball we could have gone in level. Second half we were totally out classed, and we made two awful errors in jules and Dawson.
We have no width and pace on the sides.
We are playing 3 at the back yet we only have one experienced CB and a kid(who did ok). Raggett won’t be back until October at best and he might never be as good, he shouldn’t be named in the squad for the first half of the season.
We have too many midfielders so I suspect one or two will leave to provide wages for those that come in.
We need at least 2 CBs, 2 wingbacks, and 2 strikers to have a squad capable of doing better than last year.
As for the coaching, it was poor today. Everything came down our right and we did nothing to stop it, they could play a cross field ball at will and the space was embarressing.

My gut tells me we'll sell Joe Powell.

Why no chance? We need money, possibly to finance filling gaps in our paper thin squad, and to top it all he'll be off for free in 12 months.

What difference does that make? didn't with Humphreys & Odoffin.

We have plenty League One quality in midfield and against lesser opposition, I'm sure they'll support the front two and chip in with their own goals. Our obvious achilles heel is the defence. Agbaire looked composed at the back but Jules looked totally out of his depth on the left of a back three. Unless we get another 1or2 CBs in, we're going to have to play a back 4. Dawson inspires no confidence - his distribution is woeful and his efforts with two of their goals were amateurish. Pity we didn't see Cann for the second half - although you couldn't miss him warming up - he's enormous!

On a separate note, I went to pick up my physical season ticket before the game but they're not available. So unless you live close by, you'll have to pick them up before the Port Vale game which points to a total melee before the first game of the season - could only happen in Rotherham!

Finally, if Yearwood stays fit, I predict he'll be our star signing!

Well that won't be hard to be a star player in a bunch of hopeless team mates , everything was wrong today ...There was nothing to suggest they are even as good as last seasons team

NWC, I don't play to no crowd. What I can't stand is how some of our fans like yourself, just can't wait to lay in to anything negative. Yesterday we played aginst a team that almost made the premiership or didn't that register with you?

Their second half team would have tore most teams up who are currently in the Championship, we are light years away from that standard but yet, you expected us to do what yesterday...draw or even win? . Considering who we were playing yesterday our first half performance wasn't as bad has some made out. The second half we weren't even in it as their second string/first team went up three gears and we stood no chance.

Your points on....''The recruitment and organisation as we prepare for a professional season is a joke. As others have said, we are two weeks from kick off and we are playing a formation that doesn’t suit the playing staff. Both wing backs today are not wing backs. I don't agree playing aback three, we haven't got the players skilful enough to do that. A solid back four is the way forward for now and Woody should be bending Hammy's ear with this major flaw.

Recruitment - If you want instant success you need the money. Where is it exactly for Hamshaw to spend? THERE IS NONE. Matt must think he's walked into a lions den with a stick in his hand. Don't say he knew what he was up against before he signed because he wouldn't have fully worked it all out in one meeting with Stewart.

The farce trying to offload Clarke- Harris for starters. Gambling on Kayode because his budget is so low and look how that's turned out. Being gazumped by Plymouth for Wiredu, pathetic. As it was all but done up to the 11th hour. Again constraints for Matt as his budget is what it is, that wouldn't allow for more money to be offered for Wiredu to sign.

I see it for what it is and I will stand out and take mid table this coming season. Yes, we all want the happy times and days to come back that involves great football, the right players, promotion but, it don't work if you can't buy it.

Matt will have to re think this back three set up for now. Depending on who still comes in could change our season but for now, get back to drawing board, re think, re strategies, don't go for the impossible when the tools you have before you aren't there to use.

Accrington next and Matt will have to start with his best 11 because the week after it's Port Vale in the real league.

Start with Cann in the net, use a back four. Choose your best midfield and hope and pray neither Nombe or Hugill get injured or we are screwed form the off set.

Meantime, the recruitment team MUST find a new striker and at least two more centre backs asap.

NB. I respect your post and we will differ throughout the forthcoming season but that's football and opinions for you.

Enjoy the rest of your day
