  • What a Manager

Phenomenal, that's the word I would use to describe Pep Guardiola.

Just take the time to look through what he's achieved managing these major clubs in the world.

It's not all about having the best players to use, but it does help, it's having the ability to getting them all to bond and deliver. Many Managers have failed in similar positions he's been in.

His 1000th game in charge as a Manager, not many can claim that title.

Pep Guardiola says he cannot believe the numbers he has achieved before taking charge of his 1,000th game in management when Man City host Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

Whatever people think of him, his get the ball, use the ball and move changed how premier league teams played.

When Leeds and Southampton went up and tried it, they got battered every week.

Ironically, other teams are going back to set pieces and long throws.

He takes cup games seriously and gave Phil Foden his debut against us.

Doku has been brilliant against Liverpool in the first half.

As good as Pep is as a manager, give me yesterday's Rotherham v Lincoln clash for excitement. I couldn't watch City or Liverpool week in week out - it would bore me to tears.

Could he do it has manager at Accrington Stanley on a cold February. Must be a great luxury to manage top teams with money, letÂ’s not forget 115 charges still to answer.

Yes. A few times. Not to football.

Had/still have relatives there. Visit my Aunties funeral was different to say the least like family at war sitting on opposite sides.

Interesting that many PL teams are abandoning the Pep way - mainly because they don't have the required level of skill to carry it out. Playing it out from the back being a prime example of where lesser teams have tried and embarrassingly failed. The long throw is another case of more direct football being adopted by those who don't have the skill or patience to string together numerous passes before an attempt on goal.

The second goal yesterday, where City played it out from the back left corner flag, and involved a touch by every outfield player, was a goal that only City, and perhaps Arsenal could have scored.

Personally, I prefer Martha's second goal against Lincoln!
