Great to see one of our younger players earning a first team place. Possibly others to break through before too long

Like I've said I'd have Duncan & Ayres before Agbaire & Sherif in the match day squad. Need the bench right for 2 tough away games that's if the Luton game is still played.

On the manager criticism/ love in.

This forum is tame compared to twitter. There are certain groups of supporters that thrive off us losing, and another that use wins to mock the former.
It?s playing the person instead of the supporting the team.

      In other news.
Dan Gore is out of contract at the end of the season. Be a lovely show of intent if we could get him on a contract.
I agree about the criticism. That’s my point we don’t want it getting like twitter on here. I’m hardly known as someone who criticises the manager or the club on here. But because I said I wasn’t happy with the past few performances it’s like I’m personally criticising him of doing it on purpose to some.
The result yesterday and performance was brilliant but some posters seemed more interested in having a dig at other posters than celebrating the win.
It’s just opinions just accept it.
Like I said it’s becoming an echo chamber that’s not what this forum is about. If people don’t agree say so but childish digs are pathetic and don’t contribute anything imo. I know because I’ve given some in the past. 😃
I don’t give a **** if people agree with me or not tbh just can’t be arsed with childish digs
3 points at Luton is on the cards

The season is getting better, with today being, by common consent, the pinnacle so far. Will it continue? Who knows? A couple of losses and those who view Hamshaw as too 'nice' or 'soft', or inexperienced, will be happily sharpening the knives in anticipation of a Revell /Hurst/Frecklington/Lamy takeover.
Good points but it?s still ok to critique a poor performance in isolation though. If I took results personally id have stopped going 30 years ago 😎😃

Hugely entertaining match, of which our opponents played their fair share. Their fans will thinking they should have gone home with a point at least.
But the Millers were magnificent, winning lots of 40/60 balls, and attacking with speed. Well done everyone today, even our much maligned kop choir.
Nice touch by the City fans applauding and shaking hands as our war veterans walked past them.

When I got home I looked at the line up and concluded only Martha and Hall were Hamshaw signings, most signed by Evans except Nombe and Hugill, conclusion Evans could spot a player but we now have a manager who I would suggest is more tactically astute but can develop that player(not an Evans strength) and his man management is good too
On another note has anyone noticed the amount of goals our wing/full backs are scoring I know we have a lack of centre halves but his system even though it’s not perfect is producing goals from the wing backs maybe Eric can help but I reckon that’s 3 for Hall James and Raff have scored a couple each at least? Isn’t Hall our leading scorer, crazy but good to see goals coming from different sources

Bickering is just part of it on here. There’s the for and against who both have their points, and a win or a loss brings the respective out of the woodwork.

This week has been interesting - a poor performance on Tuesday that didn’t warrant a point, and was riddled with Hamshaws failings, and then a masterful performance which showed Hamshaws strength.

As I like to do, it’s now worth looking ahead. The next three matches are tough. If we come through these with 5 or more points we could well be sitting in or around the playoffs. Less than that and we will be just above the drop zone. That’s just where we are at the moment. I still think MH has a lot o learn but over the past month or so, I have begun the see some improvement. I still think some of his signings are poor but all managers make mistakes.

I wonder what January will bring. Nombe sold and Gore returned to MUFC to be sold? That would be disappointing. Or will TS put down the mulled wine and see that we could have a chance? Time will tell

NWC you say, 'Less than that and we will be just above the drop zone. That?’s just where we are at the moment.' I think you'll find we are 6 points off the drop zone and only 4 points off the play offs so, in a better place but I get your point about close margins.

It’s all about opinions and how we come to them.
I saw Tuesday as not poor at all. We put out an injury hit mix and match team who just played over 130 mins in fa cup. We had a young lad making his debut against a side who were improving and who we generally struggle against and who have gone onto win at Bradford yesterday. We came came from 2-0 down to rescue a point. I don’t see that as a poor performance. Yesterdays was definitely good, the better one for me though was the win at Northampton where I thought we were excellent.

Sommat else I noticed that changed yesterday was that we didn?t sit back after the early goal. I hope that is a change in mentality and not just because we scored so early.
We have been awful front runners recently and drop ten yards after going 1-0 up.
                    Yesterday we carried on pressing.

This is the most I have enjoyed watching us since Warney left. I know it won?t last forever but enjoying while it lasts.

A opinion from a Lincoln rag. Not bitter though

City made it four games without a win, and a third league game without a goal in a miserable afternoon against Rotherham United. Skubala made five changes

Fair enough. As I said on the Tuesday thread, I thought the defence did ok and the young lad was outstanding. As he was yesterday. I think he is better than both Agbair the Baptise so I don’t know why he didn’t get an opportunity earlier.

But on Tuesday the midfield and forwards were very poor. Lacking both skill and determination. Yesterday was totally different and I don’t know why. Burton are obviously playing well at the moment but my sense was that we were too passive on Tuesday and almost fearful on getting forward. That’s unacceptable for me at home against ANY side in this league.

                        Anyway, I’m positive for now.

Maybe it's who we're playing at the side of baptiste/agbaird that makes Douglas look better. James and Rafferty are good old pros at this level.
Maybe it's was opposition not as good.
Maybe it was confidence in the team. Maybe it's cos Dawson is more confident in his area.

Or maybe your right. He is better than those two which would imply hamshaw got it wrong. 😉

Sherif if he can get up to speed go with but not Agbaire Raggett in centre defence. Duncan before them.

Personally hope Raggett doesn’t get anywhere near the first team now, IF everyone is fit he must be what 6th choice if the Holmes returns from Luton WHEN he does play he’s a liability and just isn’t reliable enough, I think he deserves better than coming off the bench for the last few minutes and heading it away I’ve no objection to us doing that row z will do on occasion but I think we have players in front of him who can do that anyway
By the way never realised Douglas was as good as he was yesterday he can do the simple stuff but can play also when need be his passing was excellent
