  • Alfie - I still feel I let the Millers down

An absolute club legend for me and reading this you get his meaning. A player who will always be welcome at the NYS.

The fox in the box or just a brilliant all round goal scorer.....you decide.

4 minutes 5 seconds commentator say 'That's 6 goals in the last 6 games....his 24th for the season'.....we can but only dream of a player like him being in our side again.

NB. How many penalties did we use to get?

Alfie earned more penalties than our resident gardener will ever get!

I can remember Jeff Stelling on his live update programme on the telly saying, "Adam le Fondre has just scored his 96th goal of the season for Rotherham." Slight exaggeration but it was funny.

Was the only reason to go to DVS most weeks.

                Question for the stattos...

What percentage of Alfie's goals were scored whilst partnering the much-derided Pope?

I seem to remember that they dried up a bit after he was loaned to Port Vale.

7 goals from 28 Jan when he left until end of season so it look like they did a bit, although Pope wasn't playing when he scored 4 against Cheltenham.

Only 5 as Pope returned from loan before Alfie got 2 against Aldershot!
