  • O/T Rugby Union

More or less housebound at present so got to see all the RU International games over the weekend and what pleasurable viewing it was . Exciting, no diving or rolling about as though they had been hit by a tractor ( some of them were !!) No chasing after the ref or linesman and no over excited manager sprinting up and down the touchline . I love football but Im finding it harder and harder to watch and get behind the England team.

Unfortunately can't move far from home at the moment, caring for other half through a series of back injuries . Its glacier pace progress at present . I have seen the Titans but not for years ,a few matches during the meteoric rise through the league and eventually the top flight .

I'm for the other code , ST holder at Wakefield Trinity but I do enjoy international Union .

I say that but I've to remind myself union and league are two different sports because I can get frustrated watching the union lads constantly kicking the ball and the time it takes for scrums to get set and then reset is another one but that's with my Rugby League head on .

League is way quicker than Union and the ball is in play more , 50 minutes in League compared to 30 minutes in Union .

One thing about both codes is the respect they show for the referee , a world away from football .

Went to the Wales v Argentina game at the Principality Stadium on Sunday, great atmosphere and a really good experience. I agree with others, a visit to watch Rotherham Titans is very worth while.
