Cheer up lad. Last couple of games have been more a reflection of what we can do and looking quite positive. Much more lethargic tonight though but expected that without the competitive edge of needing the points v a team that needs them. On the positive tonight, lethargic as we have been, on some occasions we are showing intentions of quicker passing through the middle, the urgency of football we often missed under Southgate. I generally stuck up for Southgate and think he did a transformative job taking over from Hodgson et Al, but quite encouraged with what Touchel is doing. Not so evident tonight though, granted.

What a finish that was from Eze. Almost as good as Spence or Martha.

        I enjoyed it.

        Another win
        Another clean sheet.
Two class goals from players that play for the best team in the country.
Foden came on and played really well.
Bellingham came on and played really well.
We are not relying on Kane?s goals.
Competition for places all over the team.
Rice is probably one the best central midfielders in the world at the minute.
Rashford looking back to his early potential.

Not sure how anyone can really moan about a team that gas won every qualifying game without conceding a goal, how many times has that happened ?
I'm sure everyone on here can remember the many times we didn't even qualify for finals.

Yes. Nothing worse than watching the '74, '78 and '94 World Cups when we weren't there, especially when other home nations were. USA '94 was particularly bad after all the hope of Italia '90.

Because people love to whinge, about anything.

We'd already qualified and were up against a team who needed to get something out of the game. In the main, we kept them at arms length and did a thoroughly professional job on them, scoring two great goals. That's it.

Warning: If you're reading this and didn't enjoy last night, the Albania game may be a similar.

Not sure I agree about Rashford. He mainly ran down blind alleys and got tackled and his shots were more like back passes.
We were a lot more dangerous down that side when Eze came on and what a finish for the second goal.
If it comes down to a choice between Rashford and Palmer for the final squad place I know who I'd be taking.

I agree with all of that. We were clearly the better team and people were probably expecting a goalfest after the 5-0 win over there but dedicated professionals though they are it can't be easy to motivate yourself when you've already qualified and there's nothing really at stake. Encouraging signs nonetheless, I thought.
