I do love a good film and for several years I have thought that the quality has been declining.
Too reliant on heavy CGI
Too many remakes
Too many sequels
Lazy writing
Poor casting.

But this year seems to have nearly improved.
I have enjoyed.
Roofman
Sinners
Caught Stealing
The Lost Bus
One Battle after another.
F1
Weapons
The Long Walk
Frankenstein
The Perfect Neighbour
The new Naked Gun
The latest Superman ( CGI used well)
Barbarian

Yes loved Sinners and One Battle after another and Heretic, Hugh Grant was great!
Going to watch Weapons now it?s pretty cheap on Amazon.

Watched caught stealing, long walk, f1, fantastic 4. And superman. Diablo..All decent.

Waste of time. Old guard 2. Omg Shocking.
Heads of state. 2 old actors just going through the motions


2 more I've just remembered Nonna's and unholy trinity. Both 6/10 ok

New Sisu movie is released in cinemas this week.
If its half as good as the first one it will be epic

Id recommend This house of Dynamite which is on Netflix now. Splits opinions but I thought it was excellent

I had never seen the film Atonement before recently as it?s not my usual tempo but I thought it was brilliant.
There is a long tracking shot on Dunkirk beach which is better than anything that is in the recent Dunkirk film. Kiera knightly looks amazing in it and there is even an unexpected twist.

Started watching sinners last night. Got 30 minutes in and turned it off. Not sure if the last hour is any better but wasn't impressed by the first bit

Totally agree! Been to see Bugonia this afternoon. Very entertaining in a weird way. Plus watched Weapons last night. Another enjoyable weird film
