Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our wonderful Shih tzu Rosie. She was 11 years old.
We originally got Rosie just before Christmas 2014 at 12 weeks old as a companion for our other Shih Tzu Alfie who is a year older and they are very different in their nature but both of wonderful temperament.
Alfie is a quiet lad and loves nothing better than a nice little walk and his ball.

Rosie was a real character, the Minnie the Minx but certainly not in a bad way, she was always checking on you and took an interest, but she loved her food. She was beautiful inside and out. Our little brown eyed girl. Just a couple of weeks ago we noticed a growth on the right side of her stomach. We took her to the vets and she immediately had some blood tests and an ultrasound sound scan.
Unfortunately it turned out to be an inoperable tumour which was invading other tissue and it turned our world upside down.
We brought her home and spent the next 10 wonderful days with her. She was eating right up until Monday evening, but when she refused her cooked chicken, we knew it was time to let her go.

We are heartbroken and Alfie is missing her too. In less than 2,weeks our world has changed from positivity to despair. I know there are a lot of things going on in the world and also that dogs lifespans are short, but the absolute pleasure and unconditional love they have given, makes such a loss very hard to bear.

To all dog lovers out there please give them a big hug and tell them you love them.

    All the best everyone.
I genuinely feel sorry for you all..I know what it's like..we had our staff for 11 years, and she's been gone 9..still think about her now, now and again..they're your best friend ever..only time makes it a bit easier but you'll never forget..that was our dog in my aviator..looks hard dunt she..ha soft as a brush but lethal at giving baths out, and ear piercing..best of wishes mate..

Had to take a mate to Hospital on Friday and wait for him some hours. Her indoors had to go to babysit her grankids overnight and rather than leave my dog Stanley on his own she took him too.

I got back around arf five and how weird it was him not being here, every time I moved around I just kept lookin for him !!

They came back just before 3 yestdi and we had a real fuss job !!

The term a dogs a man’s best friend is the most sincere quote ever !!
