  • Sacked managers you believed would have turned it around

    Thinking of Millers managers only.

Always had a feeling Redfern would have built a team.to bounce back stronger- after a relegation. He always gave the impression he had a long term plan.

Like he had at Farsley Celtic.

Was Emlyn sacked or did he walk away? Although we may still have been relegated, I feel he would have done better than what we endured under Kerr/Hunter/Cusack.

              Ronnie Moore, on both occasions.

He does? Where have I said otherwise?

I loved the football played under Billy McEwan. Nigel Johnson?s chest and volley goal against shrewsbury. John Buckleys wing play, Billy Russell a proper full back, Bobby W banging them in. Happy days

Leam Richardson, who didn't get the sack for anything to do with his work.

Why was he sacked then ?

Got sacked the moment Evans had failed at Stevenage. Had Evans not been in contact with TS throughout that spell, Richardson (obviously brought in primarily to sort promotion from L1 the following season) would have stayed in place. The old boys act was behind the change. Pep Guardiola couldn't have sorted the mess Richardson inherited and we all knew it.

Richardson should have been given the summer. Taylor was horrendous - terrible appointment

Warney had finally got is performing at a competent championship club.
After 9 years as a Rotherham player, 4 as a coach and 6 as a manager his efforts were finally starting to bear fruit before his head was turned by Derby and we have been in decline since.

The point is that turning a club like ours into a competitive championship club takes years.
