Not seen this for a while and a rare event indeed where a team are forced to use 3 keepers in a game.
It's not unique though as this has happened in the past.....
Other Notable Instances:
Manchester United vs. Tottenham (2007): A chaotic Premier League game where Manchester United used three different goalkeepers (Edwin van der Sar, Ben Foster, and even Tom Heaton as a sub) due to injury.
Luton Town (vs. Liverpool 2023): Featured three different goalkeepers in a 3-3 draw, including a non-professional player in goal for a period.
Czechoslovakia (1982 World Cup): Used three different keepers (Zdenek Hruska, Stanislav Seman, Karel Stromsik) across their tournament matches, with Seman breaking a finger in one game.
Reasons why it Happens:
It's a perfect storm of events: an initial goalkeeper injury, followed by a red card for the substitute, leaving no more available keepers and forcing a outfield player or the third-choice to go in goal.
