  • Hamshaw's reign

Anyone else see the parallels of Hamshaw & Alan Knill's time in charge?

Both with reputations as coaches/number 2's. Both similar in ideals & style, both wanting to get us playing better football and relying more on youth than experience. Both suffering horrendous injury issues and going on awful runs and showing a lot of promise?

We all know what happened next for AK.....

Leave off. Hamshaw is not the problem. Bet you did not say that during the 9 game spell.

Who is the problem then ?
In the 9 gave unbeaten run which of the dead wood players played?
Can you name a game in that unbeaten run where we played well ? If so which one of the players MH didn?t sign didn?t play ?

To what came out of Hamshaw's mouth yesterday, you may well be right. Are the players really standing up to be counted?

It's the January window, players get itchy and look elsewhere to want to leave and play elsewhere but, and I quote Hamshaw again,
''I think there's players who are probably looking at different opportunities and we are reliant on some of these at this moment in time and that's difficult but, you should be professional, should remain professional''

Did Michael Smith spit the dummy out claiming he was injured when one of his deals fell through? No he damn well didn't, he got on with the job he was being paid to do! He finally got his move away for better wages and a new contract by 'remaining professional' until that move came along.

The quote could be aimed at Martha and the world cup. Just as much chance it's nombe though

Winds me up something chronic this you would think that those out of contract would be busting a gut to at least try and put themselves in shop window for a future employer the likes of Nombe have been through Taylor Richardson Evans and Hamshaw 4 managers though obviously Nombe is a special case I suppose the likes of Raggett Kelly still can?t force their way in to the 11
I think Rafferty James and Powell are the only ones who have been consistently available Hugill too but obviously his goals return is abysmal the rest are an absolute disgrace

Can you imagine this kind of mardiness happening under a charismatic manager such as Warnock? (My way or the highway son)
Managers need to be respected and they do that through charisma and a hint of nastiness

Well, not trying, or not good enough, not necessarily easy to tell. Especially when returning from injury or simply a bit past it like kelly.
I’m sure kelly would be the first to agree. But, he and others are out there at least. But, hugill, one goal in a year?

Chances are they are all as fed up as we are.

MH may sound soft to some, that’s the impression I get, but he may be tougher than some think. And what some prima donnas will want.

                  Who actually knows?

Again, is there any being mardy? Chicken and egg. Have they started after being called out, or were they in the first place?
There isn’t no doubt though, the form and apparent effort by martha is way below before the WC limelight.
Wasn’t he supposed to be doing a WB role on that side when the second goal went in….nowhere to be seen.

There isn’t much evidence to pick up in with players, a lot of it is guessing. Though dawson was at fault with both goals. Left the left side of goal gapping and couldn’t cover.

There is always behind closed doors, so we will not know till, if, it all comes out in the wash.

Dead easy…..lincoln, played them off the park. Sometimes, surprisingly enough WHO the opposition are has a hand in it.
Since most teams in this divison can beat each other, that game was down to us playing well.
Son’t suppose you saw it though?

James, martha, hall scored in the Lincoln game, assists gore and powell, so you go ponder on what you asked since you want someone else to do the work for you. A mixed old and new bag, as i?m sure the rest of the team was.

Old and new. It?s been like it all season. Where does that leave you?

I was there, like I always am,it's my football club. That match against Lincoln, we had three chances and put them all away.We didn't play them off the park. It's easy to blame Hamshaw but he,like most other managers we have had ,have their hands tied.

Just maybe that was our strongest line up, against lincoln?..but of course you already knew that.
