      Take aways were
don't panic we all want this to work, its the same team that led RUFC to numerous promotions etc and the same level of commitment.
and, its the same infrastructure when we were being promoted.
League one is a experiencing a boom time for investment leaving RUFC behind.
Injuries is the primary reason for the current position and this is down to bad luck (mostly)

less convincing was the approach to, and lack of strategy about team investment it come across as Had hoc. I didn't feel he was pushed very hard on this issue.
There was l little to be encouraged about any immediate desire for team investment - the other part of this argument is the back room team are remaining calm and considered. ............time will tell
Additionally he acknowledged the back room medical team are short. I also note the regular job adverts for Physios on Linkedin.

it also struck me about the low level of seniority for a COO (not CEO). Paul was very supportive of TS (which is nice to see) but the questions on change of ownership and ground ownership left me questioning the level of authority Paul has.

overall - don't get sucked into the social media hype because it will leave you to believe in conspiracy theories but there wasn't enough in that interview to sleep easy
Excellent point about the seniority. COO = Office Manager at RUFC. A few years ago, I sat next to PD at Burton for a night match. It became very obvious, very quickly what level he operates at.

How interesting that a few new people appear on here in support of PD immediately after his interview. First point well done for PD for doing his job, I am sure TS will be very happy with that interview.
I love the fact that TS personally manages the stadium rental units and has decided you don’t have to advertise, because people know they are empty? lol clowns.
Morrison comments were exaggerated because he played at bigger clubs. An interesting comment about L1 and L2 clubs sounds to me as if the club would be happy to be a big L2 club rather than having to spend more money to push for top 6 in L1, just a thought.
Lots of looking back rather than looking forward, and no commitment regarding the team. I still think they don’t really care whether we go down or not, just an opinion.

Who are the new people DM? A couple of comments from posters who don't post as regularly as some but they've been around on here as long as you (2009) and 3 years less than you (2012).

The level of acceptance of mediocrity by some on here is astonishing and the “we are where we are” attitude of Douglas reflects that opinion.Smug and complacent and full of praise for the chairman he obviously is not hands on with either the financial situation or the playing set up.He’s excellent at excuses though. What is certain is he’ll not be sacked until the ownership changes and it’s equally certain the club will not be buying its way to safety. We’re going down with a whimper and no resistance on or off the playing field. Desperate times.

Oh good I have something I can attack Derby on without having to discuss the real issues related to the thread, getting a bit fed up with this constant focusing on posters and not the issues. Told you before if you don’t want to read my posts just block or ban me, but stop having a go it is tiresome and childish.
Now do you have anything worthwhile to say about the interview and what was said by PD because it would be nice to read your opinion about the thread theme for once.

The link provided was to just 3 articles in the advertiser website. Utterly useless as any guide as to what was said during the entire hour, the repetition in which they are written, the actual lack of real substance is shocking. Call themselves journalists?
Paul copy and paste Davis has obviously had a hard time as Douglas seems to have said nothing at all. Stewart fields all takeover approaches by himself, well that?s a surprise. For an 80 yr old he must be pretty sharp to have every fact to hand without involving the board.
The board think the situation is bad luck with injuries. Whilst admitting the medical side is understaffed. No mention of bringing players in with chequered injury issues and lack of game time, etc.

Since we were not invited first hand to watch, we will have to rely on the 2 journalists. Makes you wonder just what was asked in an hour. Or are we to be drip fed it in the Advertiser like a serialised Daily Mail exclusive.

Excuse my vitriol. I care about my club and what is being done with it.

I suggest you read your first sentence in your previous post and your first sentence in this post and contemplate the irony. When did asking a question become an attack? Maybe the same time as telling someone they are talking bollax became abuse?

FWIW I already gave my opinion in the QED post. Those that wanted to be pleased will be pleased and those that didn't, won't.

Shame you didn't see it before the rant you went on.

                              Well done on catching up.

I don't know what theses "angry" supporters wanted him to say. Would you have liked him to say that TS is going to sell for ?50M?

To be fair i thought he said what he could say. Would you go to work and speak out against your owner? No, neither would I.

I think some people want realise where we are in our standing as a club in S yorks. We could barely muster more the 8500 home supporters in the Championship.
