Sheffield Wednesday FC claimed a total of 878,000 pounds from tax payers
money from HMRC for Research & Development at the club.
The Research & Development tax credits over the last 2 years came to
878,000 pounds, which 175,000 pounds was last year, & 703,000 pounds
the year before
This was shown from their accounts for 2024.
A tax specialist said, the figures could imply that total Research & Development
costs at the club of 3m to 6m pounds, depending on which part of the scheme
the club used.
