[QUOTE=mellowmiller;40793782]I don't think any fair minded supporter would question his availability or effort and as I've said earlier, he never hides even if he's not having a particularly good game.
What is questionable however, is his end product.
If the published statistics are correct for this season to date, in 27 appearances he has 2 goals and 2 assists. The assists number is particularly disappointing considering he takes the majority of set pieces. Just my opinion.[/

If we had 11 players that showed as much desire and effort as Joe we wouldn’t be in the bottom three. How many players for us except Nombe have good stats for us? The issues at RUFC sits in the dug out and in the posh seats we have the basis of a decent set of players if they were coached well, trained properly looked after by the club. I exclude Hugill from that as I have a radiator in my kitchen that moves more than him and is faster as well.

Powell played well yesterday his crossing in was alot better. That free kick we had 2nd half was ideal for him being a left footer but for some reason Spence took it?

League One it's route 1 football need a big forward for that. We've still got players at the club who should have been on the bench instead of some we brought on.

Pure speculation I?m sure but Sam?s exactly the type of player Wanderers and I?m sure other clubs would like and with Millers struggling and rumours that he might fancy a move, again I insist only rumours, a deal might be there to be done? Any bid might just be a sounding board and if it were treated seriously it might open up higher bids from elsewhere, including the Championship potentially, so who knows? Equally it may be just speculation but we?ll find out next week.

As for Joe Powell I think you?d be mad to let him go for free, I?d certainly have him at Bolton in the summer if he was but surely your owner wouldn?t be mad enough to do that? I?ve always liked Joe and whenever I?ve seen him he?s looked very effective and delivers the ball with pace and accuracy. Obviously I don?t see him every week like you do but I don?t see you getting a better replacement for nothing if he is allowed to leave at the end of the season.

Nombe is the best, or one of the best strikers in division one. He just happens to be playing for a poor side. If you want him, I suspect he will be available but not for the reported 700k. Stockport are also interested as are Norwich, I heard yesterday so I suspect he will be heading there if anywhere.

IF they were to leave Nombe and Jules have expressed preferences for moves(for family reasons) to the London area. Hence the continuing links to Charlton (Nombe) and Leyton (Jules). Would have thought injury issues would be a deterrent to either of them leaving.

I think it is quite reasonable for their employer to ask them to see the season out and help us avoid relegation, we are talking about4 months and then they can leave for family if they want to. The club could sit down with them and their agents and agree things to help them if they help us.

If we can offload Aaron Morley this week for a decent wedge and hopefully move out McAtee as well off the wage bill, I think a bid for Nombe acceptable to TS could well be made because we?re so lightweight up top we desperately need somebody like Sam. Pictures doing the rounds on twitter of a player who resembles Sam being photographed in the main stand this morning but no scarves being waved yet. Mind you we?re also rumoured to be after Olaofe from Charlton too and they do look similar!

Why would he want to sign for perennial league one wallers?

Nombe is wanting out, being pushed by his agent. Probably better for us if it's the summer and not now. He( if fit) will be the main attacker to help us stay up.

Little bird also said there some good news next week, could be 2/3 coming in + more news.

Rumours all over the place online that Raggett has agreed to terminate his contract and is in talks with Bristol Rovers. His social media seems to be cleansed of any Millers images from recent months too.

Ulley, IF true, that would probably be one of the big wage earners off the bill which is surely good news all round.

If anything though, I would like to see Jules not leave the club. Look at the back four then with Adegboyega now joining us, Jules, Douglas to return, Agbaire, another season given to both Rafferty and James. What's not to like about working with those six next season?

I'll now await RU66'S reply on the age differences and that Raffs and James are too old to be playing along side those kids

                              If still
Somerset House being used for registered births,
RU66 will have a account checking age's of players.

I'm convinced we need to revert to a back four, but whether we do or not I think having Rafferty and James for another year is a must. The middle 2/3 made up of Douglas, Agbaire, Adegboyega, with (hopefully) Duncan getting some game time too would need some experience but there are so many considerations as to what that looks like - Rafferty and James either side of them and Woody coaching may be enough, if we drop to L2 the demands will be different, and if Hamshaw ends up going everything changes anyway.

I don't mind Jules, but he's inconsistent. Couldn't comment on what sort of influence he is on the younger lads either. On his day he's someone the club would be better off keeping, but it's always a bit of a guessing game as they reach his age. Raggett looked like a fantastic signing, but it's been a mini disaster... Jules may end up going off the same cliff.

Completely undecided on what's for the best, but Raggett going can't be a bad thing as things stand.
