We haven't developed any yet out of this managers signings so question marks if we will?
I'd have thought a right sided player & big forward would have been more of a priority before him.

Always good to get a bit of cover in. Let's see what he's about before the pissing and moaning starts.... oh, wait.... it seems to have already...Originally posted by Brin View PostA permanent signing showing yet again we are looking more for youth to develop over has beens....welcome onboard young man and may your stay be enjoyable and beneficial to our club.

Have you given thought to the fact that Scott/Hamshaw may have 'actually' been in contact with 'a right sided player & big forward' but things aren't fully developed yet, as their parent clubs are still sorting their recruitment planning out?Originally posted by RU66 View PostWe haven't developed any yet out of this managers signings so question marks if we will?

On a serious note, I think this type of signing should be applauded but according to the BBC, its only an 18 month contract. That worries me. At this age, we are surely trying to develop them for a future sell on. Thats really not going to happen is it? Is this another Tony Tight Arse move?Originally posted by Brin View PostA permanent signing showing yet again we are looking more for youth to develop over has beens....welcome onboard young man and may your stay be enjoyable and beneficial to our club.

Why offer him anything more than that? Look at his track record, he's never played for the Norwich first team only Walsall last season and Dundee Utd. Hardly a CV to boast about but, Tony has took a gamble on paying a 'modest' fee for him. IF the lad proves himself then there's no reason why is contract cannot be extended in the future.Originally posted by NorthWestCorner View PostOn a serious note, I think this type of signing should be applauded but according to the BBC, its only an 18 month contract. It is good that we have got him and TS has put money on the table.

Why - well, lets consider:Originally posted by Brin View PostWhy offer him anything more than that? - Not a CV to boast you are correct but neither has Lenny Agbaire, Martha or Hall. Yet we threw a 3 year deal his way. So what was the logic there? And Keleta had 2 years.
- The lad isnt going to prove himself in a few weeks. Therefore, next season will be his big opportunity and if he is succesful can leave at the end for nowt.
It just stinks of inconsistency, poor consideration and over caution.
