I would like to speak on behalf of NWC, Eternal Grist etc,

"Northampton were robbed! They showed us how to play football. Eaves was let go too early, he's much better than owt we've got.

Dawson is rubbish; Hamshaw is rubbisher"

      Did I do ok fellas?

A much better second half. That win should inspire some confidence going into the Exeter game. Delighted for our new boys and credit to Powell for a couple of cracking crosses.

Can someone clarify for me; is McWilliams just sh.te or does he not give a toss? Or both!

Onwards and upwards. It's getting rather conjested down the bottom of League One!

Not so sure about you, but the team did. Two newbies scoring too. Far better performance. Buying my ticket for Saturday now.

Not so sure about the "far better performance" P. The first half had my 'friends' licking their lips at the prospect of another -3 points.

Certainly a better second half performance, due to the introduction of Gore and the midfield finding space and time in which to drive forward.

                Is that better pippy?

Scraping a win against a load of cobblers is hardly a great achievement. Two poor sides, two poor managers
The second half could only be better than the first. The first 45 minutes were shameful, from players lacking energy, commitment.ideas and fight. They deserved being booed off
Forget the official attendance. There were no more than 5000 there tonight. And it will be less next year.

Long time coming but an incredibly welcome and needed 3 points - plus a better showing in the second half - let's hope this gives the lads a sorely needed restoration of some belief. Hope the 2 injuries tonight aren't too bad

Awful, awful first half that if it had continued would I think brought the end of MH and it would be hard to defend. It still is hard to defend as it stands but have to take a moment to enjoy a comeback and late win in a must win game. Excellent crossing from Powell led to two goals and two other clear chances. On a side that isn't stretched and low on confidence, I think he'd be an asset. Gore coming on certainly helped, as did Northampton fading as we kept pressing as we should always aim to do: through the middle and on the floor, then to the wings which kept stretching them.

Delighted for Gray and new fella whose name I can't spell yet. What a way to start your career in front of your home fans.

Stepping back and reflecting, crucial win and very happy but it wasn't convincing and MH still had plenty to do to scramble out of this, especially after such an awful first half with most players back that he'd been waiting for. But in fairness, being back is one thing, finding rhythm and reconnecting with the team around you is entirely another. So 90 mins in Nombe, Gray, 70 in Spence and hopefully Gore back to start on Saturday. Loads left to prove for MH but clearly the young players he has on loan(Gore and Baptiste child have legged it if they didn't feel they were making progress under Hamshaw) clearly value their time with us and just have to hope that we can get a mainly settled team and get some fluency and rhythm back into the game instead of the fear and pressure coming from such a bad run.

Back to the matter at hand.

A shocking first half. The players are devoid of any confidence and tactics. You can understand the former but not the latter. But I guess with Bobo in charge anything is possible.

Second half better. Gore made the difference and drove them forward. But that said, it’s nothing to shout about. They will come down with us.

So, Bobo survives another match. It will suit the Old soak because it will see us through the transfer window without having to open the wallet. And then law and behold he will pull the trigger once that’s out of the way and put Tonge and Wood in the revolving seat until the end of the season.

                              Mark my words.
