Exeter hadn?t conceded a goal at home for 5 games until yesterday.

Outstanding display of ruthless finishing in the second half.

The build up to McWilliams goal was a thing of broth. .

Apparently then there are a few who come on here who are suddenly silent. Boot on the other foot for a change.
Not commenting on our clinical finishing. Drive and speed. Commitment.

Just how good was that Gray finish. Wow. Eye of a needle to the corner.
Pearls amidst what looked a physical bruising encounter, nothing different for this league which is mainly a scrappy tussle.
Nice to see us coming out on top against it.

Keeping people fit around starting line up, and subs, will be the key moving forward. This was more like the 9 game run.

And remember this, DWW. 3 games into another 9 game run. And that D should have been a W also.

A surprisingly thuggish City succeeded in kicking young Gore out of the game. A dodgy period after that, but we shouldn't have worried. The guys came back magnificently.
Onwards and upwards, one game at a time.

I wonder how many there yesterday also went to the 4-0 win in February 1975. Jimmy Goodfellow's goal direct from a free-kick was a beauty.

                    Here's one more post.

This forum would have been in meltdown had we lost.

Three goals in four minutes at Exeter. What's not to like and salivate over?

                    UTM!!

Yes I remember the first match of last season played away at Exeter, everybody was excited with Steve Evans new shiny expensively assembled squad ! Steve had bigged it up massively, how he had made the very quick signings and how everybody wanted to play for him ? Then the reality a very disappointing performance where we hardly created a chance against an energetic but very limited home side. Suddenly the reality dawned that we were nowhere near the side that Steve had made out and the season had petered out before our eyes in the very first match of the season !

It's no coincidence that we see better performances from the midfield now that we have a lot more mobility up front with the return of Nombe and the arrival of Gray.Powell looks a lot more comfortable knowing he has outlets to pass the ball and now we expect things to happen. We obviously need to add to this very small squad and bring in the targets Hammy and Scotty have identified.Looking forward to the match on Saturday, not had that feeling for the last two months.
