  • What a transfer window!

Talk about the 11th hour.....that was a whirlwind of signings.

Who on here saw that coming? I certainly didn't and credit has to be given for all involved that these recruitments even happened. All positions required seemed to have been filled so no arguments now Matty lad it's over to you, the newbies, the regulars all to gel and kick on by taking us higher in the league. This won't happen overnight we know that but, there's more players at our disposal now so no excuses in that department.

As for us fans. It's our turn to show loyal support to the club by supporting them now. TS has backed MH and shown he is still a good custodian so let's show OUR appreciation starting Saturday. Sing loud, sing even more proud.

With the exception of Duncan Watmore 31, Hammy has gone for the lower age again, this I like, a challenge but who on here isn't sick of carrying elder deadwood has beens? It is notable most of these lads will be leaving come the end of the season as they return to their parent clubs so, we make the most of them while we can. Who knows and can we dream, we may be able to keep one or three?

    The recruits:

    Harry Gray (loan) - 17 - Forward

    Emmanuel Adegboyega (Perm) - 22 - Defender

Lino Sousa (loan) - 21 - Utility left back, left midfield, left wing back

    Gabriele Biancheri (loan) - 19 - Forward

Duncan Watmore (Perm deal season end ) - 31 - Forward

    Brandon Cover - 22 - (Perm) - Midfield/full back

NB. 3 out 6 in is a good swap. Here's to them all enjoying their time with us and we get something in return from them.

Indeed Brin, must be the best Jan window ever,as you say these young lads can be a bit of gamble, but the last 2 have been brilliant so far, also Manny looks decent, and Dan Gore is simply brilliant.
Lost some dead wood, would be good if we could pay off Huggy, but I feel we will be paying him until June.
Probably best news.....Sam Nombe still plays for us !
Get your arses down to NYS this Saturday,we still need plenty of points, but excited already.
Well done TS and Rob Scott, maybe he isn`t so useless eh ?

Already said we've now got cover in most positions apart from a big forward. Time for the fans to back the side & fill those empty seats.

They?ve had some stick and rightly so at times but TS has yet again come up with the cash.

        Are playoffs a possibility ?????

I think we should see ALL of them play before we start saying it's brilliant.
Are the opposition quaking in the boots? Doubtful.
          And we shall see

Average of 2.4 points per game from here to get in. That's 110 points a season form....

No, they're not. It'd be nice to have a run, win a few, but the play-offs aren't this season.

Did Hugill's injury fund this, if we are insured? :
Insurance — to protect clubs’ finances
Clubs often insure their players’ wages so that if a player is injured long-term, the insurance pays back some or all of the salary the club must continue to pay. This reduces the club’s financial risk from having to pay huge wages while the player sits out injured.
Insurance policies can claim back salary costs for long absences.
Clubs may also insure against career-ending injuries or specific expensive risks.

Numbers wise it?s been a surprise I didn?t expect so many yesterday.
An aging forward isn?t great imo.
The others are a risk but could also turn out to be what we need right now.
What happens at the end of the season when they go back?
Not a bad window I agree but nothing at this point to get overexcited about.
Jury is out but some backing from the board should be applauded. Will be interesting to see how the coach uses them could be great could be Groundhog Day.
I?ll await the MH cult accusing me of being negative as we all know you can?t criticise the coach on here.

BOTN, ending a post like you did is only inviting a negative response. It's as though you want an argument of some kind, why?

What you set out putting was good and yes I too have already looked ahead at the season end and how many will be returning to their parent clubs. However, I did end my post with a positive outlook that we may be able to retain one or three for another season, why not if all goes well and their clubs are happy with how they have been treated with respect and given game time.

Not looking for any argument just my opinion
Read through post match thread some posters make no comments on the game apart from calling the ones who criticise MH. If you don’t see it no problem but it’s tedious the responses to anyone who criticises him.
FWIW he’s done well last 2 games long may it continue but to quote someone else we seem to want an echo chamber on here.
Let’s hop the signings work out.

I do read the post match threads and yes I do see snide comments,(from both sides) but like you said, they are so tedious/flipant/childish they're not worth taking onboard and I move on. You will always have the for/against fans on either side of the fence, that's what football creates.

Here's to us progressing onwards and upwards and the debate of who got what right will all unfold at the end of the season. By then I'll be on my jollies and won't have to worry about the fallout

I think it's a good bit of business. Yes we need to see how they do but by and large the players brought in since the summer have been decent, so if they are of the same standard we should be OK. He has addressed the areas we have been lacking in and that we have no cover for.
I just want to survive in this league and give Hamshaw a clean slate for next season when he can get rid of all the deadwood

Not trying to goad anyone, but majority of these transfers In have probably the bare minimum of wage contribution from TS. Well done to Rob Scott and Matt Hamshaw with these youngsters who will hopefully get quickly as a squad. Let Tony Stewart take the plaudits if we stay up but to me it will be Rib Scott’s and Matt Hamshaw’s doing should we stay up . Working on a zero budget again, imagine what we’d bring in with a bit of backing. Get yer sens there Saturday, you reddsss.

                            Here are some of your recent positive posts. There are plenty to choose from;

                            Yes some of our fans🤣🤣🤣

Nobody really has an answer on why they support MH apart from injuries and he?s inherited crap.
                            It?s blind faith

I see the MH millers mad cult is out in force today 🤣🤣

All those who claim to be in the know talk in riddles and code. Its nauseating. Just say what you know or don?t say you do.

You complaining about people bitterness and negativity with your contributions on here is up there with the most hypocritical post ever.
You really are a piece of work.
                            Unbelievable.

If only there was a pattern emerging that could point to a problem.
I’m sure at some point it will become clear.
I see the usual suspects are quiet on this.
Probably off to a march like the?

The whole thing is a shambles.
                            The manager isn’t good enough.
                            The players aren’t good enough.
                            The club is stagnant
Tepid and weak from top to bottom

I refuse to be lectured by anyone on here about he will get it right. He?s out of his depth he?s impersonating a football manager. I don?t care if he?s a miller. If he had any credibility he?d walk...

Wow that must have taken you a while.
Not sure what the point is?
I comment on the games I go to do you? I mean comment or go to games? Probably no to both then.
Have you challenged me on my views and told me where I am wrong?
No because you can’t can you?
You would have to one go to games and two understand what he’s doing right again you don’t.

Tell me where I have been wrong about him. How many points out of 33 did he get prior to the last 2 games which I’ve praised for.

You can’t/ won’t because you can’t justify it and you don’t add anything to the post match thread again because you can’t apart from slating other posters.
You simply don’t see enough or understand enough hence your MO is to dismiss opinions you don’t like
It’s not my fault you aren’t intelligent enough or loyal enough to actually attend games.
