I think we will do okay tomorrow ? Obviously the game could swing on a moment of brilliance or a catastrophic mistake but I think we will be competitive throughout provided we don?t get a bad start.
We have a decent record against Cardiff and I have been watching these matches frequently since the sixties ! Prediction is Roth 2 - Cardiff 0 !

First meeting
Today's match will be the 56th meeting between Rotherham and Cardiff City, with 27 of those played at Millmoor/New York Stadium, all in the Football League. The club's first encounters came in August 1951 when Rotherham—newly promoted as Third Division North champions—met a strong Cardiff side who had narrowly missed out on promotion to the First Division the previous season, finishing third behind Manchester City and champions Preston North End. Rotherham travelled to Ninian Park after the opening fixture, a 2–1 home defeat to Nottingham Forest. What followed was a superb response: a 4–2 away win, with goals from Jack Grainger, Danny Williams, and a brace from Jack Shaw. Cardiff replied through Wilf Grant, who scored both of their goals.
The return match took place the following Monday at Millmoor. Rotherham was still without skipper Gladstone Guest who was injured in the match at Ninian Park, won 2-0 with goals coming from Norman Noble and Charlie Tomlinson.
However, those 1951 matches were not the first meetings between the clubs. Their earliest clash came at Millmoor on 12 March 1921, when Harold Millership scored twice in front of a crowd of 17,000. The return match at Ninian Park was played on the evening of 11 April 1921, with 30,000 watching Cardiff reclaim top spot in Division Two through a 1–0 win, the goal scored by Fred Pagnam.

Prediction: Well I couldn't have got last week's prediction more wrong and I really wasn't expecting that 4-0 scoreline. It was a fantastic result, and they never fail to surprise. Given the current league standings todays match wont be easy, they never are when your in the bottom half of the table and despite Rotherham's home record against Cardiff City over the last 10-15 years being really poor, their home record overall has still stayed quiet strong so I'm going with that tradition and a 3-2 home win.

As Les P observed, as is so often the case, Cardiff raise their game after going down to 10. We?re holding them off OK but Cardiff keep breaking fast and effectively and have plenty of room on their wings.
