  • Viktor Johansson

Yorkshire Post reports Stoke City are willing to let former Millers keeper Viktor Johansson leave the club.
Reported that West Ham United were interested at one point, but other Premier league clubs could be interested.
It could help the Millers financially if Viktor leaves Stoke City, with a sell on fee coming to the Millers.
That's if the Millers board put a sell on fee, if Viktor moved from Stoke City.
Could be paper talk, we will have to see.

I think it's already been discussed a while back. We didn't sell him, Stoke paid the 1M figure Viktor had negotiated as a release clause. So no sell on fee expected.

Viktor is a Millers legend, he signed another contract when everybody expected him to leave, if part of that deal was no sell on fee, then fair enough ,hope he gets his move to the Prem.

Personally I thought Stoke City were not a club for Viktor, with a dhaky defence.
Should have been a premiership club, with ability & his enthusiasm in his trade.
Wish the man all the best in his career.

He wasn't the complete keeper even with us didn't command his area. But we haven't had many better for shot stopping in my time watching us.

He commanded his area as good as any keeper we've had,and that's with him being a midget.
By the way Mike Pollitt was 6 foot 4 and was hopeless on crosses.
Your size obsession is irrelevant Gru.

I would not call 6ft 1inch Viktor Johansson a midget TLC.

He was never over 6ft! & under pressure he struggled to command his area.

CAM are you in the know about the release clause? I ask because as you know you can put virtually anything with in a contract between two parties, the club could still have had a ?1m release clause with a % sell on clause stated within the release clause itself.

According to statistics Viktor is 6 foot 1 inch mate
                      1.86 metres

No. No insider info. Just going on what was put on here last time it was discussed. As you say, PD might have surprised us all and negotiated a 25% sell on fee but I'm not betting my pension on it

They said Taylor was 5ft 10 knock at least 6 inches off that.

I got in my mind that victor as a thank you to the club signed a new contract so the club could receive a transfer fee, when he could have just walked away at previous contract expiry.
Disscusing a sell on clause could be seen as being not a nice way to thank victor for his gesture.

I am reliably informed there is a sell on agreement in the deal with Stoke. Maybe it was at Viktor?s instigation !
