I said last night on match thread, why did he get Watmore & not use him.
Then he brought Watmore on he should have been on from the start.
It would seem Hamshaw can't see what he is doing wrong, lose Saturday, then he has to go.

I feared the worst when MH brought his mates in Wood,Warrington and Tonge and that will be catastrophic if ,we do the cheap option and TS sacks MH and replaces him with one of them. This is awful and there was a decent turnout last night and they were rewarded with that !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The player himself said he's not likely to play many full games, unfortunately we have another like Benson who is capable on the pitch but incapable of staying there for long.

The Donny game will be his last chance saloon, lose that and it's clear your desk time.

Wood/Tonge to take over and Wood will start with a back four without doubt.

It is too late, we could have saved this season if we had decent leadership at the top. MH isn't a manager, not all coaches can step into management it is a different skill set, the way he talks tells you he doesn't get that and he appears shocked and surprised that what he does at Roundwood doesn't cover everything needed to get players to do what he tells them during a match. Jason Tindall is a great example of this, he tried to step up into management and he didn't do well and ends up back as assistant to Howe.

For the rest of the fight including Saturday and for next season we need an experienced manager that knows what is required in L1/L2 to get a team to perform week in and week out, to get those young men to go that extra mile.

I am taking a friend of mine to the game on Saturday, he is a Rangers fan. He told me how bad a man manager Russell martin was and I told him, wait till you see our team and the enlightened management of MH.

We keep hearing about how much of a mess it was when he took over, I have no reason to doubt that, we have had a few years of shocking board level leadership. It isn't just about TS financial backing it is about the way the club is run and where priorities have sat within the club.

MH hasn't helped himself with the training, fitness and back-room staff situation. Yes injuries are a massive factor but injuries are not just bad luck, there are reasons and causes. Poor preparation of players and poor recovery processes, lead to higher number of injuries and re-injuries. MH behaves as if that is nothing to do with him.

He stated earlier in the season that he and Ross Burbeary (think that is correct), had analysed all the data and not found anything, then we learn that we have only just appointed a professional data analytics guy, we have part-time physios and that according to PD MH and RB had not raised any issues with PD about the facilities at Roundwood (which includes the support staff).

Now we don't get to hear it all, and we have no idea what was actually said or done, we can only work on what they say or report in the press, and what that body of material would tell anyone is things aren't right, in the player fitness & medical parts of the club. For me the new guy Smith should be focusing there first, because if we do not improve that area we will get these issues again in L2 whoever the manager is.

Firstly, I hope the club have some well developed conversations with the options to take over if, as I'd strongly suspect, he goes today/tomorrow. We have a track record for being one of the worst in all professional football for dithering at this stage, flirting with managers who have little interest in us, and generally wiping out weeks at a time with no leadership. Staying up requires someone in charge, and MH's better output is preferable to no manager or an older pro stepping in.

Secondly, I think that on balance it's the right time to make a change (assuming the above is covered), but some of the sh** people talk online about a bloke who's likely headed for a spell of unemployment backs up a lot of what I've said in the past about toxic elements in our fan base. We have some amazing fans who travel everywhere in all weathers, regardless of how we're doing... and we have some absolute garbage who range between those who spouted about him being useless without ever giving him a chance, to those who throw insults out as though he's not an actual person.

Anyway, hopefully something changes ahead of Saturday, whatever it is to kick us into gear against Donny... they'll be bang up for it after midweek. Any half performances on Saturday and we'll get absolutely battered.
Was in the away end last night and the personal abuse was uncalled for. ItÂ’s not acceptable.

Last night should be the last straw for the club with MH he is imo the worst manager in my lifetime we have ever had.
Shocking set up, tactics, intensity to name a few.
If heÂ’s still in charge Saturday I wonÂ’t be going. If the club are happy to accept failure on every level then IÂ’ll spend the day with my grandchildren.
HeÂ’s got to go and anything else signals the clubs intent. It will also signal mine until changes are made.

Fair play. I think he's shown a lot of signs of being able to get some very good football out of the team (in spells) and often we've been a far better team at home than away, but last night was another example of what's happening too often. Players drifting around out of position, no clear leadership on the pitch, manager lost in the weeds between good ideas, being stubborn with his 'system', and consistently failing to execute a gameplan against a very beatable team.

We've looked woeful at the back at times and that's not improved (a lot of that falls on Woody, albeit I'm aware of injuries leading to a lot of changes over the season). There's a lot of talent in that squad, but a repeated failure to utilise it (that's on the players and manager).

I've backed him, defended sticking with him, and still feel we'd be better off with him than a void for a few weeks if we sack him without a plan... but I think the time is right to part ways and get someone in. Anything else now suggests there's an acceptance upstairs that going down isn't a bad thing (I've said this before and think it's got legs). I'll be there Saturday but being near the away end means I'll likely be gone before the end if we're strolling in second gear again.

Everyone giving MH stick (rightlyso) but what about the players??

                          Start at the back:-

Dawson - surely he can see his long punts forward achieve absolutely nothing at all, we are about the only team in this that still have the keeper 100% of the time just hammer the ball forward. The guy has a brain and experience, he could occasionally do something different.

Baptiste - been one of our better players, but had an absolute shocker last night. To be fair, he started on the right of a three, moved to the left of the 3 then played in a 4 - lad might just need a bit of consistency

Jules - I might be in the minority on this one, but Ragget (if/when fit) is loads better. More assured and makes less mistakes. Jules was ok last night but has a big mistake in him every day.

Douglas - our best CB - can see why he was rushed back - but why not have Emanuel or Lenny on the bench as cover?

Cover - totally ineffective as WB & then centre mid. Kind of didnt push high up as WB and was not deep enough to be a FB. Probably benefit in a back 4.

James - not a wing back, yet we keep doing this to him? why? think his performance showed he doesnt believe anymore

Yearwood - did well to "play" the 45 minutes he did - is this lad colour blind?

McWilliams - clearly has incriminating evidence against MH for something. How is he getting picked week in week out? Strolls around and does absolutely nothing

Spence - makes bade decisions, tries too much - kind of sympathise when he has Yearwood & McW alongside - basically has to be a one man midfield

Nombe - no service for Sam = no goals

                          Gray - see Nombe

Kaleta - looked a threat, at least tried to go forward - asked to play many positions - gets injured

Rafferty - crap at centre back (was targeted by the big number 9 for the goal) - went to RB and looked decent - funny that isnt it?

Duncan - was on the pitch 15 minutes and created more than the rest for other 75 minutes

MH tactics and sheer bloody mindedness to play 5-3-2 is killing us, but the players are also contributing.

When we have a midfield deviod of Gore, Powell & Benson - we know we are in trouble.

Nice summary MFM. The Ragget point is moot though as he's now at Cambridge so maybe one of the other two CHs in place of Jules although to me ZJ seems the best of that bunch.

Dawson what's he going to do then low punts forward! We aren't good enough to play it out from the back. Management their fault for getting kids in rather than a big forward & sending Ayres out on loan. Nombe wasted also getting no knock downs.
