Aside of Dawson, once the second half came and donny swarmed forward it showed we only has to make one midfield change taking a holding tracking player off to one that cannot (and who cannot pass) track, and we had a hole on one side and play break down.

Formation argument does not hold water. It is the players. First half was even. We got forward better than we had for weeks.
    Nothing wrong with 443.
We moved back and forth easily.
However, the substitution and or what was said at half time, donny making changes and massing forward, and we looked a different side.

Dawson was just the icing on the cake, always an accident waiting.

Great start, good first half. Motivated, crowd behind them, worked for each other and some decent creative play from Watmore and Benson. Back four (YES... it's happened!) looked rock solid. Deserved at least a goal lead at the break.

      However...

Gray was noticeably pulling away from far too many challenges and looked lost in that position. Nombe didn't have his best game (not overly critical, but it was a 6/10 performance). And then the second half... Abysmal to allow an obvious tempo change from them to dominate how the game went. Players and/or manager at fault. Needed to come out like we were defending our L1 status, not just a lead, and we didn't. Sh**show on many fronts.

Effort and tempo dipped. Formation disappeared. Silly mistakes crept in (and led to both goals). Fans arguing with each other. Painful because you always sensed it was coming but hoped to be wrong.

That's the winnable games done with and the six points we could have had this week are pissed away in time to play two we're pinned on to lose.

        Just about spot on that.

Pretty much as I saw it, very good first half with good pressing and some good interplay, but as I said to daughter, the key players in this 1st half were clearly Benson and Watmore, who were always going to struggle as the game wore on. And this was paired with the fact that the Rovers manager could see that Sharp wasn't the answer to unlocking our defence and was able to make the ***** change to bring on pace and play on the front foot leading to our key errors.

I don't agree with MH's assessment that it was just the two mistakes that cost us. Thei manager could see what needed to be done, and did it to produce the outcome. MH had no answer to it as confidence faded alongside Benson and Watmore. Jules don in pre match warm up and McWilliams was punished for his rare good half by picking up a calf injury. Two more to the list.

Depressing and I can't see any way out for the manager after that, shame as we saw a glimmer of light and hope in that first half, but the fact that he had no answers to Rovers' switch at half time says it all. I've hoped he'd make it through but it looks like hope has pretty much gone for him, and likely us.

Started off better but still have the ball away too easily. Thought Benson, Whatmore and Adeboy looked our best taking nothing away from Gray. Almost all the others really average just not good enough.

Doubt weÂ’ll get a point from Bradford or Argyle.

Lots of empty seats and was the crowd really 10000?

Dire again and the guy who trains em, picks em, tells em how to play should go!

In the second half they out played us, were stronger, quicker, fitter, more aggressive.

MH must be delighted that Dawson made that error to distract from one of the worst management decisions in recent history, why oh why would you put Martha on at HT. If you would have asked every Millers fan in that ground who would you put on, I don?t think 1% would say Martha, only Ronald MacDonald. If you watch the goals back, the pre-play sequence it was Martha involved that lost possession, he deserves the sack for raking a game that we had under some control and ruining it.
I said elsewhere Donny won?t go down they have a proper football manager we have an ex-coach that has no idea. Please, please get rid of him and bring in a manager with experience of L2 and start planning for next season.
On a positive Benson and Watmore were very good, the young centre backs did ok. Also well done to Spence for coming over to the fans to talk to them.

I too wondered why not Yearwood to replace the injured SM who despite what many think about him, we missed 2nd half.

Blaming Martha for the goal is a little harsh considering the fact that the ref missed a clear penalty and the rash dive in by JR all in the 30s leading up to the goal.

Not blaming him I am saying that he lost the ball again and that turnover led to the goal. He is weak and MH obsession with Martha is unfathomable. He could have put on either of the players he brought in during the window. I agree the referee was shocking, I had a neutral with me and even he said we should have had at least two pens in the second half.

Thought it was Adeboyega who gave ball the away for their 1st goal. Apart from Whatmore the January window was a joke kids & the rest no better than we had, if not worse than most of the failures we brought in the summer window. Bringing Martha & Yearwood on was inviting Doncaster to boss the 2nd half.

With any luck that is the last time we will see either dawson or martha in a shirt.
Yearwood on tuesday and this second half was ten times the better player than martha was.
People talk about hamshaw taking us down, though he picks dawson who cannot come for a ball, when he does he is all at sea, tries and lets balls through his legs instead of using hands (great that, twice). I’m sure all the defenders do not have a clue what he will do.

You can add a few names to those two who need to go. Quite a few.

Hmm, yearwood was sharp and moving things forward better than others. We all know how bad the world cup wonder is.
