    First Meeting
Tonight's match against Bradford City will be the 84th match in all competitions since 1925, and the Bantams currently sit in joint 5th place alongside Crewe Alexandra as the most played opponent. In the Football League they have met one and other 71 times but their first encounter goes all the way back to 10th December 1927, Rotherham winning 3-2 at Valley Parade in the second round tie of the FA Cup.
*The ground was in a dreadful state, a sea of glistening mud and slush, except at the corners, where there was a little grass. The fog was thick at kick off when Bradford City started on the attack. It was in 5 minutes though that Rotherham took the lead. Bailey swung the ball out to Scott and in a flash the winger took it to the other end and shot. Ewart partialy cleared and Lievesley shot along the ground into the far corner. Pandemonium broke out. The Rotherham supporters burst forth with all their concentrated artillery of bells and rattles, and even a bugle, which a man in the stand thought he could play. Bradford equalised after 34 minutes. Burkinshaw started the move, and a centre from Richardson was met by Harvey with his head, nodding the ball into the net over Atter's outstretched arms. Bradford took the lead in the second half, Richardson hitting a first time shot after 59 minutes. Within 5 minutes Rotherham drew level. Lievesley headed in and Ewart knocked the ball against the upright. As it came back across the goalmouth Clayton put it into the net. It was almost dark, when, with only a quarter of an hour to go, from a beautifully placed free-kick by Reed after Scott had been fouled, Phillips scored with the ball coming of the back of his heel. (Some sources (RSI & SGU) state Clayton scored the third goal for Rotherham). Credited to Phillips.

*Match report came from either Sheffield Telegraph, Rotherham & Sheffield Independent or Sheffield Star Green Un from the British Newspaper Archive.

Prediction: Over the years Rotherham have proved they are well capable of getting a result at Valley Parade and the 39% away wins is bordering good for any away team. With Rotherham's current form it's difficult to see anything other than a comfortable Bradford City win. Bradford 0 Rotherham 2. Dont forget to dust off your rattles, bells and bugles.

I understand it's not gonna be everyone's cup of tea and yes the post's are long especially if Rotherham have quiet a long history against a particular team.
These post are only intended for the last half of the season during Rotherham's centenury season and to give a bit of insight into the history of the team they are opposing. I believe I already did Plymouth's and there's no point in repeating the same.
It's not been AI generated and I'm quiet proud that in over the twenty years or so, it's took to put the book together, it is capable of looking at just about any statatistic for both the club and players that's played in every match. I know it's not going to be 100% accurate as different sources state different things, but it's not far off.
It does take a couple of days to put the post together and it's just copied and pasted on here.
Im not 'knackered' just yet, by the way

Lots of info about the history between Bradford City and The Millers.
Depends who turns up and wants it more than the other team.
Who knows what may happen? That might be a naive question perhaps?

                  All kneel,

Our Chairman, who art in the Pub
                  Chanted be thy name
Thy football club come, thy spending done.
Give us this day a bit of hope
On the terrace as it is in the executive lounge
Forgive us our boos and catcalls
As we forgive players that gesticulate towards us
And lead us not into relegation,
but deliver us from League 2
For thine is the stadium, and the power, and the money,
                  forever and ever. Amen

4 0 to Bradford cheerful soul me, last 20 minutes v Donny did it for me no spirit or urgency in the side, no leadership (apart from Raff who seems to be the only one who gives a monkeys), no bottle in this team and that stems from the manager, MH I so wanted you to do well being a local and fan but please do the honourable thing, I think in the recent past about players we had who would at least battle the likes of Rathbone Woody Lindsay Vaulks and Smudge, yes we went down with these players but they at least put a shift in, the current lot are a disgrace and will be remembered with the same affection as Andy O Dell Bobby Mitchell and Earl Jean, sends a shudder down my spine thinking about them!
