It's so Tony can say he left the club in a higher position than when he inherited it and Richard will have relegation to L2 on his cv.

Seen it mentioned often that Richard has no interest whatsoever in football in general and RUFC in particular. I don?t know how true that is or where it originated, but does that mean he will now quickly look to sell off the club and might be less choosy about who he sells it to?

TS has said on several occasions that it was Richards idea to give Paul Warne the managers job, so he's got a better track record than his Dad in that respect.

If the family decide to sell the club will their ownership of the ground be an issue as it was when TS took over?

I would be wary of reading anything in to this. Tony is advancing in years and seems a natural financial move albeit on a large potential scale to what any of us would do, but nonetheless, straightforward.

If Richard has no interest in football, then it would beg the question of why is he on the board and vice chairman in the first place?

Yes, that?s always come to mind for me too, even as I posted the previous reply. It either just Tony keeping it in the family, or the claim is rubbish (on MM? Noooo! )

Only got Warney in cause he was a cheap option compared to what had gone before.

But ASD lighting and RUFC are separate entities

Other than common directors there?s no real connection

Logic would be he offered to support his Father in his tenure with our club. He doesn't have to like it be there for him.

Unless someone else is driving his car or he leaves it parked at NYS for fun, he's been at every home game bar one this season.

Only what me and the late MrsBM58 have done with BM58 Towers and the kids.

                            Still my house
                            They've a "register of interest"
But I'm still in control and when I'm not (or incapable) they're in charge.

It is a logical move, whatever the reason is.
